Vengence was sweet, that was something normally accepted by Cheerilee, but as she sat in a bush next to Big Mac, spying on three young foals, she couldn't help but feel a bit silly, if not guilty.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Big Mac?" Cheerilee asked semi worriedly, running her hooves through her light pinkish mane. Sure, the three girls, including Big Mac's sister and her friends, had infected Big Mac and herself with a love potion, but they learned their lesson, and this was moons ago right?!? But as she searched Big Mac to confirm they were doing the right thing, she only got a bit of a response.

"yep." and that was that. While she wasn't about to back down after all this, Cheerlilee had no idea how she had gotten herself into this mess! Big Mac had suggested they infect his sister and her friend with a love potion themselves, so they'd know how it felt, and, well...the three were about to drink it, but...Cheerilee wasn't sure. Love potions were always bad! Weren't they?

Cheerlilee watched in anticipation boardering on nervousness, as the three each drank the love potion, within each other's field of vision, of course. The love potion wouldn't exactly work if that werent the case.. But something... peculiar happened once the potion took effect. Or, rather, nothing peculiar happened! The filly's continued to chat about a foal they were trying to assist with getting her cutiemark, named Primprose or something of the sort, while Big Mac and Cheerilee sat in the bushes, confusion clouding their minds. Cheerilee listened carefully frowning a bit, as she realized that her students were acting... Normal. Well, as normal as those three could be, that is.

"wow, im glad you brought these drinks, Apple Bloom!" Scootaloo could be heard praising her friend, violet eyes glowing as she did so, the only sign of the love potion's affects.

"Yeah, Apple Bloom!" Sweetie Belle had grinned "Good thinking" the three started to walk away after that, leaving their teacher and brother behind, as they stood in confusion. After a few moments the teacher and the apple farmer resigned to ask Princess Twilight about it, that is where the girls had found out about the love potion in the first place, after all; Twilight had told them, or, well, given them the book that told them...the point still stands. Twilight would know what was wrong.

Cheerilee lead Big Mac towards Twilight's castle, bouncing ideas off of him to try and ward back her confusion with the situation. "...maybe it doesnt work if its more than two ponies?" she guessed, almost hopefully, but Big Mac shook his head

"at least on of em would show signs of being under a love potion, whether with one of the others or both" he rarely spoke, but now it must of seemed important enough.

"then...maybe it doesnt work on foals?" Cheerilee guessed.

"Eyep" he responded, and that was that.

"Does it not work on fillies?" Cheerilee questioned Twilight and her student, Starlight. Big Mac and herself (mostly her) had been barrading the two with questions for at least half an hour, and at this point only received a roll of Twilight's eyes, and some looks akin to deth glares from Starlight.

"You two know how dangerous love potions are! Why are you asking about them?!?" but Twilight shook her head and opened her mouth to speak despite herself "it works on anyone. Use it on a filly, or adult, mare or colt, they'll act as they would if they were in love!".

And as Cheerilee and Big Mac left Twilights castle, they walked right into three little fillies, a fourth on their tails. "Oh, crusaders!" she greeted, frowning a bit "how are you three?". Apple Bloom simply grinned.

"hello Mrs. Cheerilee!" she chirped "we're helping Primprose here" she motioned to a simple white pegasus with light pink eyes, tipped wings to match, and a dark brown mane "find her cutiemark" she explained, stage whispering "we think she's supposed to be a writer." Cheerilee realized she was supposed to respond to the statement, as she realized how the three crusaders had grinned almost excitedly at their teacher, who frowned a bit. they should be acting all lovey! What was wrong with them?!? Or was it something wrong with the love potion she sighed in exasperation. The only sign of romance was how Sweetie Belle was leaning against Scootaloo, and the way they looked at each other, eyes shining with an affection of one kind or another. But...that was normal when it came to them! Nothing was making much sense! She mumbled something that was supposed to sound encouraging, and opened her mouth to ask them of they felt any different at all, but before Cheerilee could say anything to them, the cutie mark crusaders ran off. It wad clear that they were treating each other exactly the same as they had since they met, and as she realized this fact, Cheerilee couldn't help bit ponder the nature of the three's feelings for one another. But the mare supposed only time would really be able to tell if their newfound suspicions were correct, or if they had messed up somehow whilst mixing up the potion.

"Hmm" her eyes shone as she glanced at Big Mac, wondering if he had come to the same conclusion that she had "I guess you cant fix something that isnt broken...and you cant make ponies fall in love if they are all ready in love" she hummed a bit as she began to walk away, leaving Big Mac to go home by himself. Something told Cheerilee that she'd see the effects the potion should of had on those fillies sooner or later, though not for the reason she had expected. With that thought in mind, the purpleish earth pony began her tread home, a soft grin overtaking her features as she trotted towards her house. She'd just have to look out for those three.
