This story is a sequel to For the Hive

A few months after the events of Queen Twilight Sparkle's reveal that she and her hive can produce love, the changeling hives find themselves in an arms race. As Aegis Altair watches over her queens haggling with the minotaur emperor, she finds something that just might give Phoenix's Roost the edge it needs to come out on top.

This is a short interlude before hive book 3.

This story is a sequel to Aegis of the Hive

Natural selection. It is the byword of every changeling queen who has ever lived. The chief resource that has always curbed the hives' growth used to be love. Now though, with Queen Twilight Sparkle's bloodline capable of producing love on their own, the old guard of changeling morality has seen fit to acquire this ability for the next generation before removing all of their future royal daughters' competitors.

Some queens are far closer to this goal than others.

In the distant future a scientist conducts research on the human mind, and realizes that the reason for the conflict between all humans is their lack of emotional stability, he studies both the physical and psychological aspects of the human mind. After years of confusion he stumbles across a breakthrough, insects they never fight each other they respect their Queen's wishes living in peace and prosperity. He went to work designing a program that could potentially erase conflict, forever.

Love, such strange sentiment, I never felt felt it for another. But others have felt it toward me, even when I do not return it. If you love it set it free, if it loves you it will return.

so im sitting there, watching a canterlot wedding on tv, when a drunk driver crashed through the wall, and kills me.

thats it, right?

of course i have to wake up in fragging equestria, as a fragging (mutant?) changeling

and the worst part? this is only the second worse thing to happen to me...

Since their defeat at Canterlot, the changelings have been surviving solely because of the generosity of the Equestrian government. After most of their drones were killed in the invasion, the remnants, still led by Queen Chrysalis, live off periodic deliveries of love magic from the Equestrians.

One day, a strange creature appears deep in the tunnels of the hive. The new arrival creates many new decisions for Queen Chrysalis to consider.

Figured I'd post something for 3 year anniversary, already got multiple chapters done so a consistent update schedule can be expected (for a while at least).

Queen Chrysalis, ruler of the changelings, is in trouble.
After the failed Canterlot attack, not only has she been forced to trade all the ponies she collected for the safe return of her subjects, but she is also about to be forced into signing treaties of peace that will leave her race crippled.

A strange creature is found trapped deep in the old hives, will it help the changelings rise again, or be the final nail in the coffin for the pride-blinded queen.

Sex tag for all of that juicy innuendo and passing references to sexual acts that any good changeling loves.
Takes place shortly after the wedding, no gak deer with wings here.

Hmmm... Ever had the feeling that something is missing or wrong? That something shouldn't happen yet it does? Strangely enough, I'm feeling that way. And so does my new allies.

...

...Oh, did I forgot to mention my new allies are a bunch of pony-shaped creatures that feed on love? No? Well, they are. And the leader, Chrysalis, won't bug off me. Heh, get it? Bug off, cuz, you know, they have holes.... and look like insects and.... oh whatever.

The thing is, I'm not exactly a changeling. What's that supposed to mean? It means, I'm a human in a changeling's body........

And I DON'T LIKE IT!

Let's just hope things turn out for the best in the near future... Cuz I'm gonna need a lot of luck and miracles to make it out unscratched... but something tells me in won't be that way.

Ashardu here, with some news!

I have a 'Bitching allowed' rule where if someone dislikes my story, I wish to know why. No matter the reason, I just want to know. Doesn't hurt to know a few things about my story, does it?

And last but not least, The whole story is gonna be affected about how much love it receives. If it is well-received, then it might go further than originally expected. Otherwise, I'll keep it to the same development. Got it?

Edit: Forget about it. This thing is going further than planned.

Our protaganist's life (mine) turns from dramatic to tragic in a single moment...but then an out-of-left-field event happens, and I find myself in an alternate universe version of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic where the only difference seems to be Queen Chrysalis hatches a new queen years before the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration...and I'm that new queen.

Jumping in on this particular bandwagon. Tagged "Gore" for the opening chapter (and possibly later chapters) and "Sex" because you can't mention any part of the reproductive process without the sex tag on this site.

Here I am, thrown in as a changling Queen far before the Canterlot invasion, watch as I- A: make my whole race terrified of me B: overthrow a changeling god! C: die, a lot. D: all of the above.
