Twilight Sparkle's day began with assassins from the future. It only got worse with the addition of time-traveling vigilantes. The memory wipes didn't do much to improve it. And the less said about her own self's intervention, the better.

It's not been a good day for Twilight Sparkle. And if she doesn't get to the bottom of it all, the future doesn't look bright either.

Now, there will be consequences.

Consequences, they come in all shapes and sizes for every decision. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. These words are lessons that Princess Celestia should know, bits of wisdom she practices in her rule of Equestria. How is it then, that when faced with a decision, she chooses the one that would inevitably bring the most pain? How is it that she couldn’t bear being recognized as the mother of her child? And why? Twilight Sparkle is about to find out.

But it also means that when Princess Luna comes to visit her old friend, Twilight is given the task of tending her. The Princess has come in search of marriage, at the behest of her ruling Council. They demand an heir to ward off the potentially catastrophic attacks of the neighboring dragons.

Soon, Twilight will be tested and tried. She will be given the a choice between the life she has known, and the duty she is sworn to. But never, not once, will she forget.

For who can stop loving their mother.

Twilight Sparkle receives a new book from Discord chock-full of interesting and unknown facts about draconequi. How fascinating!

Twilight Sparkle never thought too hard on love and didn't really contemplate on her experience with romance. She begins to when a conversation with Rarity brings her to think about finding somepony special to love, changing her life résumé. There are complications, though, as she discovers the difficulty with herself and others of maintaining a relationship told to be better than the ones you have with friends. She's supposed to know when she loves somepony, right? The way they look at you, the way they act around you..? The signs become less clear and lines become blurred when Twilight seeks for the thrill of love.
