Sometimes, a cup of tea is just a cup of tea. This is not one of those times.

Lyra Heartstrings is a up-and-coming musician living in the quiet town of Ponyville. Her marefriend Bon Bon owns and operates Canter Candies, the town's specialty sweets shop. They've been together for years, and everypony around knows what a happy couple they are. But any relationship has its ups and downs, and it's hard to ignore every awkward moment.

Like when Lyra's ex arrives in town.
Because she thinks Lyra still has a thing for her.
Because someone's been impersonating her for the past few years.

...Bon Bon might be in trouble here.

Apple Bloom has always been taught to do what’s right; by her sister, her brother, and her granny. She works hard to complete her chores, does her school work, and goes crusading with her friends. Even when dealing with the taunting from the local bullies, she tries to keep her distance and avoid conflict; after all, it’s the right thing to do. But when she overhears a private moment by somepony she should by all rights despise, she learns that doing the right thing can be harder than it seems.

Starlight Glimmer is TRYING to be a good friend, but she just has this awful tendency to overreact at just about anything.

Like trying to rule over an entire village of brainwashed ponies because a friend moved away.

There's a plague infecting Equestria, and Diamond Tiara has taken it upon herself to cure it. They may be stronger in number and in sheer absurdity, but she's got a little something special to even the odds.

That something being a three-foot long magically enchanted samurai sword. Look, nobody said this was gonna be pretty.

(Written for the FIMFiction Writeoff Association's inaugural writeoff. The prompt was "Lonely Happiness". I got a bit creative with it.)

Diamond Tiara resents Mother's Day on account of not having a mother herself, and thus refuses to make a Mother's Day card in Cheerilee's class.

After a visit from Princess Luna that night in a dream, however, Diamond Tiara gains a new perspective on her life and beliefs.

Cheerilee catches a massive cold and won't be able to teach class for a while. She calls in for a substitute, but ends up getting an eccentric creature named Miss Frizzle with her even stranger contraption. She can only hope that this new "teacher" can teach without causing mayhem.

Feeling bad about how they used the Cutie Mark Crusaders to get to Princess Twilight Sparkle, mean fillies Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon try to make it up to her.

... Although, it may come off as a bit "questionable".

There are things you just don't say. Some lines you just don't cross, ever. The reason you don't cross them is because of empathy: you know how bad it feels to hear certain things, and you know you wouldn't like it if you heard it yourself. This is a view not shared by everypony.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon crossed the line. Rarity learns of it. Rarity is not amused.

Everypony draws their line in the sand somewhere.
