UPDATE: labeled as complete. I really can't think of anything else to add to this story. The second chapter will remain as a bonus.

A collection of poems about Luna's growing discontent, her fall, and her eventual return and redemption. This is by no means meant to offer a narrative take on these events, though the poems are arranged in what may be considered a chronological order. Instead, they are meant to reflect on the emotional experience of the sisters during these events. The framing device should hopefully offer a little more insight into the idea behind these.

There are some things you cannot take back.
The wounds of Eternal Night cut deep in Equestria, in no one more than Celestia herself. Reeling from the painful aftershocks of betrayal and war and grief, Celestia is unraveling. But falling apart now is not an option. Equestria has lost one Princess, it cannot lose the other. There is work to be done, and The Princess of the Day must take on her sister's mantel if they are to survive.

However, the day starts with a visit to Twilight's classroom that doesn't go at all the way she planned, and from there things only spiral further into chaos. By the time it's all over, Cadance will realize just how much she has to learn about love.

Having helped Diamond Tiara learn both the true meaning of her cutie mark and the value of friendship, the Cutie Mark Crusaders had just resolved that being together and helping others was what really mattered before they were engulfed by a bright light.

Finding themselves in a strange void, both their lives and those of all Equestrians are about to change. Hopefully Celestia and the former Elements of Harmony can figure out how make sure this change is for the better, because there's a new alicorn on the block, and they have a bit of a reputation for causing havoc.
