Twilight told her friends of her adventures in the Human world, but she didn't tell them everything. One dark secret haunts her still.

In this alternate timeline, Tirek has been successful in his attempts to take over Equestria. The princesses, Discord, and the former element bearers along with Spike and Shining Armor are locked in Tartarus. Equestria is now controlled by a tyrant and resistance has proven futile.

But Tirek has made one crucial mistake, he has left Discord alive. While Tirek’s rule begins to turn Equestria into a nightmarish dystopia, Discord is making plans. The seals of Tartarus are slowly breaking around Discord and when he’s free he plans on fighting Tirek with every dirty trick he can muster, whether it involves psychologically tormenting Tirek or giving Equestria’s now magicless pony’s weapons from worlds unknown. Tirek has crossed a line and Discord no longer has to worry about his conscience when it comes to fighting another monster.

Battle lines are being drawn and opportunists from around the land flock to Tirek’s banner. Discord and the remnants of the Equestrian military are the only hope of a broken world. There are no elements, no easy paths to victory this time. A ruthless battle of immortals is coming, and the ponies of Equestria are going to have to fight for the happiness they once took for granted….

Twilight Sparkle is facing a crisis greater than Tirek, the Changelings, and King Sombra combined.

She's read every single book in existence.

So it is that she has nothing new to read.

There’s nothing going on, there are absolutely no stakes whatsoever, and they still manage to bring doom to all of Equestria.

Written before "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", so a small little tiny bit contradicts canon now. Sorry for that!

01.01 Just as Princess Celestia had foreseen, Twilight ascended to become the Alicorn we now know her to be. Then she was crowned as a Princess, to the envy of her friend Rarity.

If this had been the end of the story, we would all have been bored out of our skulls. As an added blessing, or curse, there is something yet untold.

Later, a Unicorn is found wondering the castle, even if she for some reason can’t recall how she got there, or where the old library had gone. This is where the interesting and shocking details are starting to slip out of the bag, or in their case, saddle bag.

In this adventure; each and every facet of Twilight Sparkle are sepatrate and independent characters. While still remaining Twilight Sparkle.

Ps: Note that I will have to make a few changes to the tags and a few chapters, once the changes are in effect!

Sunset Shimmer decides it’s finally time to return to Equestria to confront Princess Celestia and ask some tough questions about the treatment of Her protégés. She isn’t ready for the answers she receives.

Deciding to take a vacation from her busy life in Equestria, Twilight Sparkle decides to visit the human world to see her friend, Sunset Shimmer. The two then decided two have a meal at Sunset's favorite diner, and It'll be a meal Twilight will never forget.

(I wrote this when I was 17. it's pretty rough in places, but i think the basic ideas i had here were pretty cool. it's got a good skeleton)
