Soarin' and Rainbow Dash have been dating for a while but now Soarin' has seemed distant. He is constantly going to special Wonderbolts training and missing important dates with Rainbow Dash. Just what could Soarin's little secret be.

Rainbow Dash and Soarin are married and have 3 kids Cloudpuff,Sunrise,and newborn White Whirl.

Rainbow Dash graduates from the Wonderbolt Academy. After many weeks of training, she falls in love with Soarin, her instructor. However, when war breaks out and the Wonderbolts have to join the Equestrian Royal Army, Rainbow Dash and Soarin's love for each other and their loyalty for their kingdom are tested.

This story was inspired by the song Violet Hill by Coldplay, as well as the rest of the Viva La Vida album. It takes place after the Wonderbolt Academy episode, not including Alicorn Twilight Sparkle or anything after season 3. Rated teen for a few suggestive jokes and moments of intimacy, but nothing mature.

For years Rainbow Dash and Soarin have been on and off. Soarin had been dating Spitfire for years now. All of the Wonderbolts knew that Soarin and Spitfire were destine to be together. This is until one event throws Rainbow Dash's and Soarin's lives for a loop. Everything changes, priorities shift, and ponies change. Spitfire's life is shattered, her dreams of being Soarin's wife slashed, and her love is cut in half.

There's a few rules to being Rainbow Dash.

- You gotta be the best flier in Equestria.

- You gotta be cool.

- You gotta be radical.

- You gotta be awesome.

And most importantly of all...

- You can never fall in love...EVER...

- ...Unless you fall in love with a Wonderbolt. Then it's totally cool.

- ...Even if he's already got a marefriend; still totally cool.

Rainbow Dash gets a letter from Spit Fire to discuss the opportunity of getting Rainbow on the Wonder Bolts. So in the three months training a slight "more than a friendship" thing comes out between Rainbow and Soarin. Making this really a dream come true.

After the tumultuous events of the Canterlot Wedding, Rainbow Dash goes on her nightly flight to relax. She's used to flying alone, and enjoys the solitude. This time, however, somepony accompanies her.
