To Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia, it is a simple surprise visit to Canterlot. To the ponies of the Equestrian Civil Service, it is twenty-four hours of chaos, politics, weaponized dessert, politics, underhooved manipulation of media, politics, and things batrachian and tentacular. Who said bureaucracy isn't exciting?

When Rainbow Dash has to spend the night in a jail cell for a crime she claims she didn’t commit, she’s shocked to find out she has a neighbour she never thought she’d ever see. The other pony doesn’t seem like her biggest fan either from the looks of things, considering their past. But have they put it behind them after so long?

Sometimes it takes a friend – not a rival – to answer that question.

After a budget cut, Cheerilee is replaced by a younger and stricter teacher. Cheerilee searches for a new job in Ponyville while her students deal with the new teacher. However, everything is not what it seems. Can Cheerilee use her vast knowledge to save her students and Ponyville?

There's something strange and unnatural living in Bon-Bon's house.

Something other than Lyra.

Dust has lived on the edge of Ponyville all her life, keeping to herself and studying. She knows Princess Twilight, and so when she realizes she's made a big discovery, she's eager to run to the castle and tell everypony the good news. But when she goes into Ponyville, they don't seem very happy to see her.

Why would that be? She didn't do anything wrong.

"Twilight…please, help. They're coming for me."

Trixie collapses on Twilight Sparkle's doorstep with nothing but these words, a monster in pursuit, and a whole lot of questions that need answering.

But the nearer Twilight gets to the truth, the nearer she gets to a dark conspiracy...

Sometimes, we put on a mask to hide our true feelings. Sometimes, we end up wearing them for far too long and we forget who we are underneath, and we lose ourselves to the madness.

My name is Pink, and I am alone.

I found my mask at an early age, and I’ve been wearing it ever since. I’ve hidden myself away, behind this wall I’ve made myself.

My entire life has been nothing but heartache and misfortune. I found solace in the bottom of a bottle, in sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll, anything to fill in the empty spaces and block out the pain.

I used to think none of it was my fault, but now I’m not so sure. I’ve caught a glimpse through the cracks in the bricks that make up this wall, and I’m afraid.

I’m afraid that I was wrong.

I’m afraid to take off this mask and face the reproaching eyes of the world.

All in all, it’s just another brick in the wall.

~All chapters but the very last chapter of this story are finished. I made the decision to abandon this story with a heavy heart, but I have to move on from it. This story is a sequel to 2-D Pony

She ran up to scrape more paint off so she could admire it better, then froze. The eye was still looking at her. This wasn’t the usual illusion that came from perspective drawing, where an image appeared to look directly at the viewer no matter what viewing angle they took. No, the eye had turned, and followed her as she moved toward the ladder.

While chasing after a mischievous thieving phoenix, a young filly uncovers one of the most horrible and tragic blunders ever to happen to a citizen of Ponyville. As her mother and friends try to run from their past, Ink Blot will learn that some jokes are not funny at all.
