Some Sad News about Bricks in the Wall · 7:07pm Aug 29th, 2016
I don’t know quite how to say this, so I’ll just put it bluntly. I’m not going to be finishing Bricks in the Wall. I’m so completely over it at this point.
I think this is the only conclusion I can see happening. I’ve been mulling it over for a while now, and I have to admit to myself that I’m never going to get it done. It’s never going to happen, no matter how many times I say I’m actually going to work on it and try to finish it.
And it sucks, I know, to completely cancel a story right on its final chapter. I really love this story, and I think that this last chapter was going to be one of the best parts and wrap everything up nicely. I was so excited for it, but I just can’t actually bring myself to write it.
But, believe me, I’ve read my fair share of fanfiction over the years, both pony and non-pony, where the author cancels it and leaves all the readers hanging with no conclusion to the story. That’s why, tomorrow, I’ll be posting everything I’ve written so far, (which is not much, when compared to how long it would’ve been if finished) and detailed notes that explain all of the gaps in between.
I know that this probably a disappointment to some, but at least it’s something. I just have to move on from this. I started this story in 2012. It’s been four years, two of which are since the previous chapter was posted. This story was always difficult to write as it was, and I’m just burned out at this point.
I struggled with this decision for a long time, but I really believe that this is the best thing to do.
Sorry again.
Well, that's too bad. If you need help with ideas or writing the actual chapter, send me a PM. I'd be more than happy to help you complete it.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll just stick with what I'm doing. Maybe if it was a year earlier or something, but I just want to put this story behind me now, unfortunately.
Maybe we can work together in the future, or something though, I don't know. On something decidedly non-Pink Floyd related. I am so done with this story. I've worked on it more these past few days, just putting it on FimFiction and writing notes and stuff, than I have in the past two years. Tomorrow, I can finally say it's complete. Sort of, at least.
