Twilight is Princess Luna's one and only friend and everypony knows it. Neither of them ever thought that they would be anything more than friends. However, after just one night together that is no longer true and together the two of them embark on journey of secrets, lies, trials, friendship, and true love.

Celestia asks Luna to teach Twilight dark magic. Twilight must pass Luna's class in order to graduate. As Luna develops feelings for her student, Twilight questions which princess she really wants to serve and protect.

Celestia leaves to deal with a foreign crisis, giving her sister a chance to rule alone and become more attached to the modern world. She calls on Twilight Sparkle to advise Luna, hoping her student will be able to draw Luna out of her shell. With two major threats to Equestria already defeated in the past year, it seems like the perfect time to let Luna gain some confidence and experience in the modern world. After all, what are the chances of a third disaster occurring?

Now comes with complimentary tropes.

Secrets. Everypony has them, and as they get older the more numerous they become. Their benevolent ruler Celestia herself has lost track of just how many secrets she holds, but Twilight and Luna are going to find out quite a few of them. Follow Twilight and Luna as they discover things about themselves, and those dear to them, as memories and secrets are brought to the light.

Scootaloo's life hasn't been the easiest. Being orphaned at a young age and brought up in the foster system came with its own set of challenges, not the least of which was a lack of older pegasi around to teach her how to fly. Fortunately, Rainbow Dash can help with that. With her honorary big sister taking a more active role in her life, Scootaloo learns much more about herself than just how to fly.

Ponyville is being utterly obliterated by Twilight Sparkle, or at least somepony who looks exactly like her. She wakes one morning to the devastating sight, somehow having lost her voice and her ability to use any magic. With no way to convince any one that it's not her causing the destruction, she is callously sent away by her impostor to face her doom. Suffering through immense turmoil and emotional pain, will she finally find her ultimate savior not within herself, but within Rainbow Dash?

What will become of Twilight and Ponyville? Will the impostor Twilight stop only at Ponyville, or continue to go for a much greater target? And are the impostor's motives really as sinister as they appear to be?
