The best part is that I only have key points that I am writings towards. So long as I ensure to not create any plot holes, I can take it most any direction. The only thing I can guarantee is that there will never be anything overtly Dark, not a pinch of tragedy, and maybe some drama in the future in story for this. It is about half of the enjoyment of writing it!

great chapter! i was a little worried there for a while that luna was gonna go with "i don't want to break her heart, so ill just go along with it", i've never thought luna would act like that, feels like she would have more strength of character and act stronger on her emotions. we'll see how you handle her i guess!

Yeah, while I am kind of taking my time and trying to ensure that I lay down some proper foundation work with this story, there should be no major cause for alarm as far as these two splitting, not being genuine towards each other, etc. I wanted to look at the 'post-confession' period where most fictions end and focus on the relationship building that would occur, as well as problems that would arise from dating royalty.

And for the purpose of my story, she has been back five years, and she has basically become on par with Celestia yet again. While she does still have some lingering issues, for the most part she is strong again.

The TwiLuna progression is actually pretty good.
No love at first sight nonsense. Just two ponies getting to know each other over the period of months. Twilight came to understand things earlier but Luna eventually came around when Twilight hit her over the head with the (alcohol fueled) Clue Bat Confession.

Yeah, while sweet, love at first sight is rather ridiculous and only flies with Disney movies. That is the main reason for these flashbacks, to show you [the readers] that there is indeed a foundation, and from only two events of the multitude possible, the synergy is very strong with these two ponies. Thus, it allows me to start off from the relationship while merely glazing over the buildup to it while keeping it realistic.

And Liquid Courage is fun. It is amazing as to just how many applications it has.
