"They don't make them like they used to". It's a saying about the days when appliances were made out of metal and were built to last. No matter how well put together a household item is however, eventually, it will wear out and no longer serve its purpose. Nothing lasts forever, and for one brave little toaster, a radio, a desk lamp, an electric blanket, and a stuffy old vacuum cleaner, their days of serving their master are over.
Blanket is a fire hazard, Radio's speaker has blown, Lampy's wires are corroded, Toaster's heating coils are burnt out, and Kirby can't stop breaking his belts. Parts are no longer made for these old models and any that are available are antiques, worth tenfold of the appliance for which they were made. After over forty years of loyal, faithful service from his beloved machines and countless repairs made to them, Robby reluctantly retires them.
The lifelong electronic friends share their last moment together in the trunk of Robby's car as they are carted away to the scrapyard where they will soon be dismantled and recycled. A great storm however, would be their saving grace as they are thrown into a completely different world with inhabitants who are intrigued by their sudden arrival. What will become of these rusty relics as they find that the fate of this strange yet beautiful realm rests in soley in their cords?
