A Digi-Change in Equestria

Chapter 2: The Yellow Fox, the Blue Dragon, and Menacing Centaur

It has been a whole week since Triceramon attacked and Fireheart got the three Digidiscs from a mysterious cloaked figure that appeared out of nowhere before quickly disappearing. Starlight saw what happened and wanted to know what it was about. Fireheart and the Young Six explained how they found Guilmon after the strange devices came from falling out of the sky.

Starlight was reluctant to have a digimon like Guilmon to stay at the school before they explain how he helped out when Triceramon attacked. After awhile, the students and teachers at the school started to get used Guilmon and how much fun he is. Not only that, he really enjoyed bread that Pinkie Pie had brought one day and made it his favorite snack. Guilmon was even allowed to sleep with Fireheart during the semester. But that didn't solve the problem of how and why he and that other Digimon came here. Princess Twilight and her friends were looking into it as there were reports of more Digimon appearing all over equestrian.

Fireheart was laying in his bed with his partner Digimon laying at the foot of it as he lay awake at night and was thinking about his dream. "Was that dream, was it really a dream? Or maybe it was a vision." He thought to himself as he looked at the watch on his wrist and picked up the device on his nightstand. He then remembered that Guilmon wasn't the only Digimon that was standing by his side. There was a blue dragon like one with a yellow V on its forehead and a hedgehog like one with blue eyes.

He even saw his friend Smolder standing by a yellow Fox, a white cat with mittens that has claws at the end, and a white dragon with a ruby on its forehead with red stripes on its body. Fireheart then saw the other two slots that were empty and the one that has an image of Guilmon on it. "Can we have more than one on our side?"

On the roof of the school, Smolder was looking up at the night sky with her Digivice out as she was thinking about what happened a week ago. She thought about how Fireheart was brave enough to put himself out there for something that wasn't of Equestria. "I wonder if I could be as strong as him." She asked herself before she heard a melody calling out to her.

Smolder quickly stood up when she heard it and looked around. She then saw a shadowy figure whisp by so fast she barely saw it. She then took off into the sky and followed the shadowy figure. She held up her watch as she flew and chased the shadowy figure trying to see if it's a digimon or not, but it was too blurry to even get any data. The shadowy figure turned a corner and when she did, it was gone Without a trace.

"Where'd it go?" She asked herself as she looked around and couldn't find a single clue of where it went. Smaller than flew back to the school, unknowing that the shadowy figure emerged from the shadows to reveal a yellow fox standing on two legs while wearing purple gloves that go up to her elbows. Purple yin and yang were on her thighs while white fur was down the middle of her body, the tip of her ears and her tail while she had diamond blue eyes.

"Almost caught up to me." The fox said in a mature sly tone. "I believe I found my partner to make me stronger. The only question is, will she accept me?" The fox then disappeared back into the shadows when she leaped into the air. The fox followed Smolder back to her school and saw her enter her dorm through the window while she was in the trees. The fox then saw the window to Fireheart's storm is and was curious as to what he was up to.

She managed to get to where the window is and saw Fireheart sleeping on his bed and what really caught her eye is Guilmon at the bottom. She had a smile on her face as she thought he was cute before she shook her head at the thought and disappeared into the shadows again.

The next day after school, Smolder is with Fireheart and Guilmon as they were taking a walk through town. As they walk, she told him she heard a strange melody last night and thought she saw a digimon going by. "A melody? Did it sound a little techno?" Fireheart asked as she gave a nod in response. "I heard one too before we found Guilmon."

"Really?" Smolder asked in surprised. "You think the melody we hear means a Digimon is calling out to us?"

"I think so, but it might also means we're meant to meet them." He said before he looked at Guilmon. "When we first met him, it felt like I've known him my whole life."

"I also felt the samething." Guilmon admitted. "I can't explain it, but it feels like we were meant to be because of something important that needs to be done. But I don't know what it is." The three of them thought about it for a second before Fireheart heard a melody calling out to him. He stopped in place when he heard it and the other two noticed it. "What's wrong?" Fireheart then began to run and the other two followed behind.

"Hey wait!" Smolder shouted as they followed him. "Why are you running?!"

"I just a melody calling to me!" Fireheart explained as were running into the Everfree Forest.

"I didn't hear it!" Smolder told him as they continue to run deeper into the forest. "Is it a certain melody someone can hear?!" The other two wondered the same thing until they reached a clearing and saw timberwolves surrounding a small blue dragon like creature with a yellow V on its forehead and his center is white. Both their watches started beeping before an image of the same creature pulled up and the info was shown.

"Veemon." Fireheart whispered after seeing the information about Veemon and he looked exactly like the one in his dream.

"You guys want some?!" Veemon shouted at the timberwolves before one of them pounced at him. "Vee Punch!" He shouted his attack as he threw a punch at one of them and burst them into pieces. Another timberwolf pounced on his right before he saw it coming. "Vee Headbutt!" He jerked his head forward and burst that wolf into pieces as well. "Yeah, that's right! And there's more of that came from!"

"He's one tough Digimon." Smolder commented before the pieces of those shattered wolves hovered and reformed back into the wolves. "And they're tougher." Veemon let out a nervous laugh as he saw them reform.

"You wolves are tougher than you look." He said with a nervous tone but shook his head and stood his ground. "But that don't mean I'm giving up yet! Bring it on!" One from behind pounced and was about to attack him and he had no time for a counter-strike.

"Pyrosphere!" Guilmon launched a fire orb right at the Timberwolf that was going to attack him from behind and destroyed it. Veemon looked and saw him, Fireheart, and Smolder running over to him as Guilmon fired a few more pyrospheres at the Timberwolves and chase them away.

"Are you okay?" Fireheart asked Veemon.

"Yeah, I'm good." Veemon answered when he looked at them. "But who's you guys?"

"I'm Fireheart, this is Guilmon and Smolder." He introduce themselves. "Now it's my turn task you another question. Why were you fighting those Timberwolves?"

"Is that what those things were?" Veemon asked. "I thought they were just some bad Digimon that chased after a bunch of cute bunnies before. I wasn't going to let them hurt them. Thanks for the hand though." Fireheart gave a warm smile to Veemon on as he held out his hand to him.

"That it was really brave of you to do something like that." He said as Veemon shook his hand before he pulled out his Digivice. "Hey, these things let's partner up with more than one. How about you partner up with me and you can protect more with me and Guilmon."

"Sure, you guys seem like cool." Veemon said with a smile. "And show me around this place considering I never seen it before." Fireheart then stood up and pointed his Digivice at him before the screen started to scan Veemon. After a few minutes, the Digivice then filled up the second slot with Veemon's image and name.

"Maybe when I partner up with a digimon, it's going to be a real cool one!" Smolder shouted with excitement before they heard rumbling coming from the forest. Before they knew it they saw would look to be a centaur with a helmet on and one red eye running towards them. Both their watches started beeping before an image of that centaur showed up and the info of it

"This don't look." Fireheart said nervously as the centaur Digimon was galloping towards them.

"He don't look to happy." Veemon said as he noticed the centaur Digimon was prepared to strike.

"SOLAR RAY!" Centarumon unleashed a ray from his right arm and nearly hit them if they haven't ducked under the attack.

"Whay are you waiting for, use those Digidiscs you got!" Smolder shouted at Fireheart.

"I can't! I left them back in my dorm room!" Fireheart explained before they dodged another attack from Centarumon.

"You both just get to safety while me and Guilmon handle this guy!" Veemon told them as he and Guilmon charged at the Centaur Digimon. Both Smolder and Fireheart ran and hid behind some trees as they watch the two Digimon fought off the champion level one. Guilmon unleashed an Rock Breaker attack while Veemon threw a Vee Punch at him to dealt some damage to him before Centarumon used his Jet Kick and knocked the two back.

Both of them watched as the two level rookie Digimon we're getting tossed around like rag dolls by the champion level Digimon. When Centarumon try to get Guilmon, Veemon would stop him with his Vee Headbutt to get his attention. Fireheart couldn't take seeing his two friends getting beat up by the larger Digimon. "I have to do something!" He grunted as he watch. "But if I run to get the discs, they might be goners by the time I get back!"

"Well, we have to do something!" Smolder shouted before she flew up to the champion Digimon and unleash flames at his face. The two rookie Digimon then took this opportunity to attack the champion Digimon and get a good few hits in. Once he recovered, he knocked the two rookie Digimon back before he grabbed Smolder by the throat.

Fireheart watch as Centarumon choke Smolder and knew he had to do something. He grabbed a few rocks and started to throw at the champion Digimon, but was not getting any damage in. Smolder looked like she was about to blackout before something jumped out of the trees and kicked the champion Digimon in the face, causing him to let go of Smolder.

Once Smolder caught her breath again, she and Fireheart saw what kicked the champion Digimon in the face and saved her. Both their watches started beeping before an image of the yellow Fox was shown and the info of it as well.

When they saw Renamon, Smolder started to hear the melody she heard last night coming from Renamon. It was there she realized that, Renamon was calling out to her with that melody. Renamon prickly grabbed the two injured Digimon and leaped over to where Fireheart and Smolder are. "You both watch over these two well I'll deal with Centarumon." She told them before she turned to face the champion level Digimon ahead. Smolder however grabbed her arm and had a look of determination on her face.

"You won't be able to beat that guy all on your own." She told Renamon as she held up her Digivice and it started to scan Renamon. After a few seconds, Renamon's image and name was put in the first slot of the Digivice. Renamon then took Smolder's claw and place the three Digidiscs in it.

"Hey, those are mine!" Fireheart exclaimed when he saw the three discs. "Did you steal them from my room?!"

"Be grateful I brought them." Renamon retorted before she leave towards Centuramon. She delivered a kick towards his head before she quickly dodged a swipe from his fist. Both Guilmon and Veemon started to regain consciousness and saw Renamon fight the champion level Digimon. Guilmon had a glem his eyes when he watched Renamon fight. Renamon then leaped up into the sky after folding her arms and spreading them out as tiny leaves glowed right around her. " Diamond Storm!" Those shards then rain down on the champion level Digimon and did a lot of damage. Just as she was coming down behind him, his back legs then bucked Renamon in the stomach and knocked her into a tree.

"Looks like she needs help." Smolder said before she looked at the blue Digidisc and knew what she needed to be done. She tossed up the disc like a coin before grabbing it and holding up her Digivice. "DIGIDISC, INSERT!" She placed the disc in the top slot of the device as the screen showed the disc being recorded and something was being downloaded. "ACCESS, DIGIVOLUTION!" She pointed the Digivice towards Renamon as a beam of light shot at her.

With her partner now in champion level, Smolder than have the idea to give her more power as she held up the red Digidisc. "DIGIDISCS, INSERT!" She then put the red disc in her Digivice and pointed at Kyubimon.

"That's more like it!" Kyubimon said as her tails flared open and the tips of each tail started to burn bright. "FOX TAIL INFERNO!!" Balls a flames then shot out towards Centuramon that did even more damage before Kyubimon jumped in the air as she spun around in a circle. "DRAGON WHEEL!" Her whole body became engulfed in flames as a dragon emerged from those flames and attacked Centuramon. That final attack did it as his body began to be digitized and Kyubimon absorbed that data as the core flew off but something dropped on the ground. It was a red and yellow Digidisc with an odd symbol on it.

After Kyubimon turned back to Renamon, the group helped up the two injured Digimon and headed back to school where their wounds were treated and healed up. Fireheart took the disc that fell when Centuramon was destroyed. However, Renamon explained that he wasn't destroyed but was sent back to the digi world where they came from and is now in Starter Village as a Digiegg.

"At least we know that they're not dead." Ocellus said with relieved. "So, do you have any idea of why Digimon are here?"

"I'm afraid I'm just as confused as the other Digimon are." Renamon answered her. "There are many Digimon hidden because we know not of this world we're in."

"But there's has to be reason why you Digimon were brought here to Equestria." Fireheart stated as he put his hand on his chin.

"I'm just glad I got to meet all of you." Veemon said with a smile before Derpy walked in.

"Excuse me, I have a delivery for all six of you." She said as she pulled out a package and handed it to Fireheart. When she left, Fireheart unwrapped the package and opened the box to reveal many different Digidiscs inside. Some were similar to the two that Fireheart got from that cloaked figure while others were a different color like green or yellow. There are even some with Digimon on them.

"More Digidiscs. But who sent them to us?" Gallus asked as they each checked them out.

"I'm wondering what this is." Fireheart said as he the one that was dropped when Centarumon was defeated. "What's the symbol on it mean?"

"It's more of a crest." Renamon told him. "That is the Digimon crest symbol for courage. There's many others like them, but even I don't know where they are." She then opened a window and looked like she was about to leave.

"You're not staying?" Guilmon asked.

"Don't worry, big boy." Renamon said as she moved her tail under Guilmon's chin. "I'll be around and if you ever need me for a fight, I'll be there." She then vanished when she leaped out the window.

"I think I partner up with a good one." Smolder bragged leaving the others wondering who or what Digimon are they going to be partnering up with or when are they going to meet them.
