Back on the site, for now at least. Mecha fan who also loves MLP. After many years, I've got back into Touhou again, though mostly everything except the danmaku games still.

Hey look, a friend make a TV Tropes entry for this. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/TellMeBaby

So yeah, everyone and their grandma has done an Anon-A-Miss story, based on the Equestria Girls comic book that was, quite honestly, not a very good story. If you couldn't guess I'm inspired by being a So-Cal (Southern California) kid and the RHCP (Red Hot Chili Peppers). Because (to my knowledge) THEY HAVEN'T SHOWN LOS PEGASUS IN THE SHOW (it's clearly Los Angeles and the west coast, show us some love!) AND IT'S ABOUT TIME A VERSION OF IT WAS THOUGHT UP (well, what I think up, others probably have thought it up).

So enjoy Sunset Shimmer on the west coast baby!

Edit: officially calling this universe the Guitars, Sugar, OCs, and Magik universe.

The portal between Equestria and Sunset Shimmer’s world has closed unexpectedly. Despite Twilight and Sunset’s best efforts, the girls have been unable to come up with a solution. Running low on pages to talk across the dimensional rift, Twilight reads what might be Sunset’s final message to her. However much to Twilight’s surprise, there’s also another message to a different pony.

Inspired by a conversation with Tired Old Man and the story The Last Page, with apologies to Holy.

Rainbow Dash was the Iron Wing. She was a war hero, the Slayer of Shadows, the Liberator of the Crystal Empire, the Wrath of Celestia. And depending on who you ask, she still is.

But the war is over. There's little need for a pony like her in peacetime. So she keeps telling herself that she needs to adjust, that she needs to find a new role to fill in the world that she saved. But Equestria seems content to let her remain what she has become, even though they have no need of a warrior.

"This isn't how it's supposed to be", is something she keeps telling herself. But every time she says it, the only thing she can reply is, "so what should it be?"

One whole year after the close of the war, and Rainbow Dash still doesn't have the answer.

This story is a sequel to Rest

Three Hundred Years.

I've spent all that time teaching both humans and ponies to never forget the war. I've slowly become content with not just my life, but the fact that I am the last dragon. I've made and lost friends, students, and gained a great deal of respect from both ponykind and humanity. I've seen things change for the better, yet there is one thing I am forced to confront one thing that I fear most.

Falling in love.

Can I, a long lived being who has already outlive those I care about, accept a future with a lover? Or am I too afraid to face such a devastating loss once more?

Deep in the Royal Library is a book. A terrible book that is said to send whoever reads it mad. A book so dangerous that it has to be hidden away and secured with chains to prevent it from ever being opened.

A book which has just been accidently checked out by Spike on behalf of Twilight Sparkle.

The Star In Yellow is rising once more, and only Rainbow Dash and Spike can save Twilight before it's too late. Ideas live forever. Ponies do not.

This fic is loosely inspired by the 19th century story 'The King In Yellow'.
