Under the just guidance of the princesses, Equestria has prospered for thousands of years. Yet not a single soul remembers how the kingdom came to be or where its twin diarchs came from.

During a simple tea party, Princess Celestia decides to reveal the answers, causing Twilight to call into question everything she thought she knew about her mentor.

A poor choice was made one faithful summer day. A young man finds what many would call a miracle of science, a portal, a gateway, a bloody wormhole. No matter what you call it, the fact was that a young man found it.

"A hand wouldn't hurt." The dumbfounded man said. "Just one hand, then I'll leave."

Like a fool he reached out and touched the cursed thing. And much like a fly to a trap, there was no hope for escape. The portal warped and stretched the second the young man dare touch it. And with a final startled scream the young man forever vanished from whence he came.

I am that foolish young man, I am the one who dare mess with forces far to large for me to comprehend, and I am the one who was forever sealed from going back to whence I came. With nothing more than a bag to my name, I walked forward with no way back.

My name is Status Quo, and here I stand.

Anon has had it up to his head with his dead-end job as a busboy in a shithole franchise joint. Lucky for him, he has a week of paid vacation to think it over, just enough time to dip his toes into the waters for some more...unorthodox employment opportunities.

Given the circumstances that had found her permanently posed in granite, Chrysalis hardly expected to find herself freed from that state by Starlight Glimmer herself - much less asked for help by her number-one nemesis.

But for Starlight Glimmer and Spike, all other alternatives are exhausted. Something is sickening the changelings: A disease which spreads by no clear vector, no observable cause, and has no known history in their species. If any information or hope of a cure exists, it may very well reside with the mind of their former queen.

But coercing Chrysalis to cooperate for the sake of those she views as traitors will be hard enough, and even if she does, what will the consequences of her information be?

Its Nightmare Night, the worst night for Fluttershy. But she didn’t want to let it pass without spending some time with her friends. A chance encounter with a unexpected visitor helps her deal with her dilemma in the most unusual way.

This was a quick story i wrote in one day. I wanted to do something for Halloween, and already had some ideas floating around in my head, so i decided to write them down and ended up with this short story, my two favorite MLP characters meeting during Nightmare Night.

When the princesses receive word of a mysterious illness breaking out at an archaeological survey site in the Badlands, they send Twilight, Spike, and Starlight to investigate. They find a bizarre sequence of markers, signs, and hints left long before pony civilisation as they know it, leading the way to place long forgotten by history. Together, the ponies must uncover their meaning, before an ancient evil from a past not even remembered by ponies leaves its mark on the future.

Just over a decade ago, two budding entrepreneurs made a major discovery: changelings convert love into power. And that power could be extracted.

Spurred on by the sudden infusion of energy, Equestria has rapidly industrialized and modernized. Transformed, technology and society has advanced by leaps and bounds - all thanks to Flim/Flam Corp and their changeling batteries.

Not every pony is accepting, however. Not every pony is okay with mass-produced changelings kept in tanks to turn Equestria's ambient love into electricity.

After years of leading her rebel organization on a campaign against the changes, the former Princess Cadance has finally made a breakthrough. Though it has cost her dearly, she's found the key to bringing down Flim/Flam, freeing the changelings and returning Equestria to its normal state.

Unfortunately, Shining Armor - her personal Javert - is blocking the only exit.
