Kenneth, Equestria's top human detective (by default, being the only one) is given a case by Princess Celestia.

He proceeds to attack this case with all of his skill and wit. Which is to say, badly.

Finding yourself in the halls of the this castle and asking it's ruler for a hug, couldn't be further from how you expected this day to go, yet that is exactly what happens, forcing you to face the fallout of your actions.

Sorry that I haven't edited this story before, but I simply couldn't wait with posting it. It just HAD to be done now. So please, excuse my subpar spelling and grammar.

Being a Prince isn't all that it's cracked up to be. It's all work and so much responsibility. Ponies plot against you constantly. Luckily, sometimes it's for your own good.

You've been the only human in Equestria for some time now. However, it wasn't until this morning that your good friend Twilight suggested you take a peek through the Crystal Mirror. Supposedly, there is another world on the other side of that mirror populated by humans just like you.

She conveniently left out the fact that she herself turns into a human when she passes through it.

In hindsight, you probably should have seen this coming.

The sun has gone out over Equestria, sending Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends off to Canterlot to deal with whatever new villain has caused the disaster.

...thankfully, it turns out to be a far smaller problem than anticipated.

She was a mysterious creature, overstressed by her job in the palace and needing the company of two friends far more than she realized.
