Lower Case came to Ponyville a jaded stallion intent on finding a quiet place to craft his magnum opus, free of the burdens and strife of life in Manehattan. My unicorn parents called me a worthless mud pony. They pushed me every day to overcome my lowly status. When I woke up one morning with my cutie mark, I thought they would love me. I couldn’t have been farther from the truth.

It was not destiny or enjoyment that led me to discover the cello and composing. My parents made that decision, deciding before I was born I would continue their family legacy of famous musicians.

I've spent the majority of my life tilling the desolate land in which I live. Every day, I wake up to move useless rocks from one location to another. This is an archaic line of work that my family has clung to for generations. It is a dull, grey existence.

Today, I have woken up in a strange room, lying in a bed that isn't mine. I'm surrounded by five mares whom I've never seen in my life. They claim to be my friends, and expect me to bring joy to the hearts of everypony.

Joy? I don't think I've ever experienced this for myself, so how am I supposed to thrust it upon others?

My name is Pinkamena Diane Pie, and I'm not sure what to make of this situation.

Having failed to reach Davy Jones' Locker with the rest of his crew, Captain Hector Barbossa finds himself stranded within a hell many times more terrifying; a land infested with magical talking horses and little baby dragons. Despite the odds being stacked against him and the inhabitants of Ponyville at his back every step of the way, he vows to return to his own world and finish the quest he started.

If only fate did not have a new adventure in store for him. An adventure that could very well change the fate of Equestria and the Caribbean seas forever...
