This story is a sequel to Reconciliations

Sunset Shimmer left her cellphone behind at Pinkie Pie's "Welcome Back to the World!" party. Fluttershy visits her apartment the next morning to return it, only to find her friend is determined to become Queen of the Spiders to cure her mental ailments forever.

This story is part of the Recovery Arc, and blame for its existence falls entirely upon Posh.

Rated "T" for implicit yet accidental drug use, cursing, and anatomical discussion.

When Twilight Sparkle was just a kid, her best friend was a girl named Sunset Shimmer. Though their friendship had a bit of a rocky start, they quickly became inseparable, no matter how much everyone thought of them as ‘weird’. They were there for each other.

Years after the tragic accident that tore them apart, Twilight is determined to move on from her loss, and she sets off on an independent research project to investigate the strange happenings at Canterlot High. Little does she know that she will soon come face to face with what appears to be a literal ghost from her past.

Then one afternoon, on a day when Applejack is strangely quiet and distant, she suddenly agrees to Rainbow Dash's persistent request. The pegasus happily oblidges, not knowing what has truly motivated Applejack to give in, nor the fact that--more than anything--Applejack could really use a good friend right about now.

Spike has yearned to be with Rarity since he moved to Ponyville. Whether for the sake of propriety, or for more personal reasons, she's always held herself back. But one day, she takes his heart in her hoof, and his world changes.

Now if only he could shake the nagging sense that something isn't right...

Getting up to assist Spike with his own issues, Twilight may find that she is the one in need of help.
