This story is a sequel to When the Man Comes Around

The ninth story in The Journey of Graves.

Graves is gone, departed for parts unknown without so much as a backwards glance. A quick farewell and a cold goodbye is all the marshal left before severing every tie he ever had to Ponyville, including those with Rarity.

Why? He's a soldier and it was obvious he'd one day have to leave. But the way he left, so abruptly, even callously... it just doesn't seem right. Could it be that there's something more to his departure than meets the eye? Or are thoughts like that merely fancy and wishful thinking? To find the truth, Rarity and the girls start down a long, winding road that will hopefully bring the grey eyed soldier back. Hopefully.

"Humans.... Quite possibly the most infuriating mythical creatures in existence. If you ever have the 'luck' to meet a Human in your travels across Equestria, then you must be careful. Humans are extremely powerful creatures, some would say more so than Celestia or Luna, they are also more unpredictable than Discord. They can help you in a tight spot if you're lucky, or play nasty tricks on you if you don't hold the Human's favor. In my time I've seen a Human give a filly pounds upon pounds of gold, and the same one turn greedy ponies into gold. The only one I ever have seen 'face-to-face' was in my earlier years, he helped me repair my wagon when it broke down in Everfree Forest, by fix I mean a whole new one appeared not ten feet away, and the only thing the Human asked for in return was a spindle.... But be warned, never anger a Human, a trick or two in fair game is fine, but if you ever manage to truly anger a Human...... you'll be part of the small number ever to meet non-existence." - Star-Swirl the Bearded.

A silly nonsensical story, not to be taken seriously. Some chapters are not connected to others.

What if the prehistoric conflicts of Equestria weren't as dramatic as they have been made out to be? What if they had been waged through post-it notes? Actually, that would be pretty dumb.
Here is a story that is pretty dumb.

Rated Teen for crudely drawn butts and graphic depictions of passive aggression.

Bon Bon reflects on her companionship with Lyra.

After conquering yet another ancient evil, Twilight returns to her library. There, she encounters the ghost of King Sombra, who delivers a terrible warning about the dangers of helping emopones.

A touching, heartfelt tragedy, except it was written by Fiddlebottoms, so it is not.

Ever been bested by a sickeningly sweet pony, specifically one who wields the Elements of Harmony? Are you just tired of love and hope and kindness filling your world? I know I am. Come to the next meeting of Villains Anonymous, where no unjust deed of cruelty goes unrewarded. Discuss your beliefs of disaster and anarchy with your like-minded colleagues, speak of plans for your next big scheme for world domination, or just be a stuck-up jerk. Here at Villains Anonymous, all evil is welcome.

P.S., Chrysalis, it's your turn to bring snacks.

Seeing as how some of you want me to write more, I'll get on it soon.

As Discord's statue sits in Canterlot's sculpture garden, his age of chaos forgotten, he cannot do anything but think. But what does he think about? Love? Friendship? The meaning of life? Definitely not. He was lord of chaos, not some optimistic philosopher pony. What is he to think of except mayhem?

[EDIT] This is the second attempt at fanfiction I ever wrote, and I'm honestly humbled and surprised at how you've all received this. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough, for giving my story a chance, but thank you.

Oh yeah, the guys over at The Living Library Player Society did a reading of my fic! I'd never expected anything like that. Ever. Here's the link, check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UI0OPAmrJ8Q

For my first 100 followers.

It is said that nothing in life is free, and when your life lacks any foreseeable end, the most precious things come at the highest of costs.

Is it worth it?

Is love worth pain so great that it sinks into madness? Is it worth insanity so intense that it gives way to evil? Is it worth malevolence so destructive that it aims to annihilate an entire civilization?

The answer is hidden like a Rainbow in the dark.
