Winter has come and gone since Twilight Sparkle moved to Magiville, now as Spring has kicked off and the Royal Gala is getting closer and closer. However, an old foe of Celestia and Luna has re-emerged.

After an argument between the Cutie Mage Crusaders(CMC), the Erisadies, Discord, now free from his stones prison, has stolen the Elements of Harmony and had set up a 'test' for Twilight and Company. Will they stand tall? Will Chaos reign supreme? Can Twilight show the power of Friendship Or will Discord tear the world asunder?

Trixie appears once more in Ponyville, but something is...off...about her. She isn't speaking in third person. She is convinced that she is supposed to be the Element of Magic, that Celestia is supposed to be the Tyrant Sun, that Luna is supposed to rule as Equestria's monarch - and that Twilight is supposed to be a wanted criminal. Can she and her partner muddle through this without either of them going to pieces? Or will stage fright and humiliation claim another victim for a front page scandal in the Cloudsdale Quarterly?

It's been a long week for Sunset Shimmer. After defeating Nightmare Moon, she's chosen to live in Ponyville. She assumed it would be nice and easy from here on out, with a few distractions from her new friends.

She didn't expect an old school rival to appear and cause trouble. Of course, given that it's Tuesday, it should have been a given something was going to show up to ruin her day.

Equestria, a land of magic and bending, has lived in peace for centuries. For centuries it was protected by the cycle of Avatars, but when the avatar disappeared, two ponies took it upon themselves to defend their home. They were Celestia and Luna, the alicorns sisters. Equestria was restored under the newly-named Princesses' wisdom and guidance... until that fateful night.

Sunset Shimmer, student to Princess Celestia, is sent forward in time to stop Nightmare Moon. On her arrival, she meets a noblemare named Twilight Sparkle, and her dragon assistant Spike. With her two new companions, she ventures on a journey to stop Equestria’s new queen and free Princess Celestia. As they travel, they learn that they also have to find the answer to a centuries-old question:

What happened to the avatar?

After finding her assistant missing again during her court duties, Twilight finds Spike with none other then Fluttershy and learns that the two have been a couple for a while. After overcoming her shock, she is told the story of how the two, unexpectedly, found comfort in each others embrace...
