The sequel/successor to Worth The Wait
The love between Rarity and Spike had finally come into fruition, and everyone in Ponyville has smiled upon the two as they've prospered and blossomed over the months. But unbeknownst to them and the town, a lowly unicorn stays within the Golden Oaks Library walls, locked in with nothing but her growing depression and loneliness since the recent absence of a certain drake. Will Twilight learn what these feelings are, and learn to cope with the possibility of her kin permanently leaving the nest, or will her inner pain grow into dark pit and cause her bleeding heart to overflow and drown her?

Rarity. A pony of fashion, being petite, and politeness. A pony that was always on top of what was hot, but was too ladylike to ever gossip. Rarity. The sister of Vinyl Scratch.
She never shared anything about the older mare who shared her white coat and was a unicorn; she could barely look at her! She was just so...uncouth. But Rarity decides she needs to start living up to her element, and when Vinyl is evicted from her home, she stays with this petite, polite fashionista.
Rarity is not thrilled.

Princess Celestia always thought she knew how her kingdom worked. The Unicorns used magic specialized to their jobs. Pegasi flew in the sky and handled the weather. And Earth ponies... Earth ponies... uhhmmm...
Huh. Maybe Princess Celestia didn't know everything about her ponies after all.
Princess Celestia realized this after Applejack came to speak with her about a tax unfair to Earth pony farmers. It was during their conversation that Celestia realized she needed help.
Huh, isn't that odd Princess Celestia has had to leave on emergency business, leaving Luna to raise and set the sun? And hey, is that a new pony living and working at Sweet Apple Acres? I think her name is Sunshine Meadow. Surely, it's just a coincidence. Surely.

For their first home together, Twilight and Applejack wanted a house close to Applejack's farm and big enough for Twilight's books, with a little something special besides. They settled on the perfect place, one of the oldest barns on Sweet Apple Acres, and had it converted into a comfortable house for their little family. But when strange things start happening just after they move in, Twilight finds that she has a mystery to solve before she can really call her dream house "home."

A new shady company took Equestria by surprise. Hundreds of local apple farms were going out of business all over Equestria, unable to compete with unrealistically low prices.

The famed Apple family was no different. Their customers started buying less and less, the wealth dried up and the fights started as the family plunged into financial ruin.

Apple Bloom watches her family and life fall apart before her eyes. Argument after argument about selling the farm and having no place to go if they did.

Just as Applejack has done everything for her, Apple Bloom feels it's her turn to do something for Applejack; but what? There's no length she won't go to, to save her family, the farm and everything she holds dearly.

Pinkie doesn't tell ponies about Pinkamena and Surprise. The doctors said that they were bad for her, that they were a disease, but she disagrees. Sure, Pinkamena's a bit of a grumpy-pants, but she's still a great friend! She's often the voice of reason to counter-act some of the other two's crazier ideas, after all. Surprise, on the other hand, is a great prank-player, and always up for some fun. She's more like Pinkie, only more hyper. Both are great fun to be around, and they get on well.

Thing is, she knows that if she told ponies about them, then they would be dragged back to the hospital. And then be 'treated' again. None of them want that. Because of this, not even her best not-in-head friends know about them. The three of them have, for years now, been careful enough to keep the existence of Pinkamena and Surprise secret.

This has, of course, gone out the window now that Twilight is hammering on the door after overhearing one third of a conversation, with no sign of anyone else talking.

Hints of F/F shipping inside. Nothing will actually come of it here, though. Maybe in a future story.
