One of the best clopfics I've read. I especially enjoyed how original your descriptive language was. Good descriptions make or break clopfics like this, and you managed to pull it off very well. I almost felt as if I was not reading about two imaginary horses licking each other, but looking at a great work of art in a museum.

2063468 Wow... this is one hell of a compliment! Thank you very much for this!

Holy freaking....you know the rest XD

One of the best romantic clop-fics i've ever read...i mean you discrive everything with perfect detail the background, the movement even the emotions its just perfect how i imagined them together...even the tone of the voice came natural...just...just WOW

you touched everyt kind of topic in this story to make it a whole in one chapter...dude you are simply awsome

Good freaking job

Beautiful in all the best ways.

Brilliant.

For some reason, this was playing in my head while reading.

"Beautiful is empty
Beautiful is free
Beautiful loves no one
Beautiful stripped me"

Great fic though, amazing detail, faved.

i wish that i could express my feelings towards this story in words. ill try anyway: awsome. :rainbowderp:

2066385>>2066466>>2066900>>2067985>>2069118 Thank you, all of you, for your kind words. I really wasn't expecting such a great response to a story written on a whim! I guess I'll be making a return to this genre in the future

:twilightsmile::twilightsmile::twilightsmile::twilightsmile::twilightsmile: I give this 5 cute Twilys'

wtf "you have chosen poorly, incorrect rating code" I GET THIS FOR A THUMBS UP?

Edit : I liked it most because its an alien concept i've never seen it before you have great imagination :D

Great story, fantastically written, and easily one of the best romance fics I've read. Good job, man.

To call this a mere clopfic would be a travesty. It manages to both hit on an emotional level and arouse.

This is erotica in it's finest form.

Wow. Way to go, as all the others have said. I gotta admit, I was a bit apprehensive about reading a clopfic---or any fic, for that matter---involving a disability; I'm disabled, and I was waiting for all the usual tropes and cliches and condescension, but you managed to avoid all of that. So, kudos :twistnerd:

2077300 Thank you very much! This is one heck of an accolade

2080909 Thanks for this comment. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive about using Fleetfoot in the story, but I'm glad I managed it without being patronising. The Paralympics coming to London brought a lot of positive attitude changes with it - one thing that stayed with me was a wheelchair sprinter being interviewed. When asked whether she ever wished she hadn't been paralysed, she simply answered "Well, no, I wouldn't be me, would I?" (and this inspired Fleet's own line about not wishing for sight.) I'd never really thought about it like that before, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Why shouldn't she take pride in what she had achieved?

Well, I was shipping Spitfire x Rainbow, but now I have a new pairing. :pinkiegasp: These two just fit together so well.
I would love to see more of Rainbow with this version of Fleetfoot. Unfortunately there's no specific character tag to look for. :|

This was some of the most incredibly arousing erotica I have read in a long time!

2327917 Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it :raritywink:

2334609 Well, I prefer to read stories that are well written, and this was a masterpiece. It was NOT porn without purpose, but a story of discovery between two mares, filled with their thoughts, emotions, and feelings, that also happened to be very erotic. And the eroticism was even done very well. Very few can claim to have done so, (and I am one of the many who cannot make such a claim) but you have done it with flying colors.

Ok.... I know this is the weirdest time to possibly write a comment, but I believe what you have written may very well be the perfect clopfic. Maybe even good enough to give Romance Reports a run for its money. Everything from the descriptions to the dialogue to the characters was perfectly done. You deserve the highest rewards and regards for writing this magnificent story, and I'll help in any way I can to promote this. Thank you for writing this, seriously.

2475047 Surely the weirdest time to write a comment would be before the story was even published? :rainbowwild:

But seriously, I really appreciate every bit of feedback, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it as much as you did. Really blown away by that compliment, so thank you too

One sees the world in a different sight when one is blind. Well, so to speak.

My girlfriend is blind, so a story like this? This is something I can relate to. Do you have experience with blind people?

Because you freakin' nailed it! Can't say it any differently, you freakin' nailed it. The descriptions of everything including the sensation
of actually being blind? Either you have experience or some serious imagination there.

Definitely into my favorites this one. Who knows, I might even read it to my girl one day :ajsmug:

2544344 Thank you very much! I'll be honest; although I have spoken with a fair few blind people (as my engineering degree project is developing a glove fitted with ultrasonic sensors to act as a cane alternative/supplement), I've never really known a blind person personally. I was helped in a big way by the Paralympics coming to London, as for a few weeks the country suddenly got a really positive attitude towards disability and education about it.

Oddly enough, I never really though of Fleetfoot as 'disabled' in the contemporary sense until someone pointed it out. Sure, she's differently abled, but no less happy or successful for it. It was nice to write a story utilising non-visual cues, and one about a character who is completely OK with their disability. Too often I see disability in this fandom used in a terribly negative way--in fact around the time of this story, there was one featured that had Rainbow blinded and somehow falling in love with Twilight, which kinda invalidated the whole thing into one big, angsty mess. This was partially a foil to that.

Sorry for rambling at you, but it really means a lot to have a response like this, especially from someone whose significant other is blind. Best wishes to you both

Thank you for writing this. I would dearly love to read more stories this well-written starring Fleetfoot.

This was one of the best if not the best erotic story I've ever read. It wasn't the incredible descriptions and amount of passion that was shown. It wasn't the beautiful characterization either. It was the journey and the revelations that led us to the ending of this wondrous story. I won't call it a clopfic because that disgraces it. I mean this was unequivocally good! Very seldom does a story like this make me actually tear up and, by some stroke of mad genius, this one got me to. I guess I'm a bit overwhelmed right now with how good this was. That Latin phrase was beautiful and the story for Fleetfoot was incredible. I've been wondering where the idea of Fleetfoot being blind came from. One of my favorite parts of this story is that you had the lovemaking done when Dash was blind. That opened up a whole new world that you exploited to its utmost maximum.

The love and the passion that you showed between the two of them was absolutely astonishing. And you took the idea of "show, don't tell," to a whole 'nother level. And, at the beginning of the story (that's just it, this is a story, not just a short little romp. It had buildup and reason, damn fine reason, for them to get to where they were at the end) I really liked how you were having Dash act. It was all so believable along with her fear of growing apart from her friends, the friends that helped make her who she is. The challenges that you described Fleetfoot having were very believable and well thought out. You made me love a character that probably has some of the fewest stories written about her... or at least include her in them. You've definitely earned a favorite, thumbs up, the whole shebang.

I seriously can't wait to read what you happen to put out next. Keep up the unparalleled writing!

3349306 Thank you very much for such a kind and thoughtful comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed it as much as you did. I'll admit, I'm not the first person to think of a blind Fleetfoot (that would be the Ask Echo the Wonderbolt Tumblr), but given that yet another crippled Rainbow Dash angst-fest was up in the feature box when I wrote this, I really wanted to make a story where the disabled character was the self-validated, confident one for once :rainbowwild:

But yes, it means so much to have this sort of praise lavished on me, so thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment. I can only hope you enjoy what I write next as well!

There isn't really much left for me to say that hasn't been said yet, but I'm just going to put out that this is now pretty much one of my all-time favourites. Excellent grammar and descriptions, an actual story behind (or shoud I say before) the act, the list goes on. Everything just fell into place so perfectly.

I actually went into reading this story rather 'blind', as in it had been sitting there in my list for a long while now and just randomly popped up one evening. Checked out the premise of course, but wasn't fully aware of Fleetfoot's particular situation until I reached that part of the story.

Really well done, though, really well done. Thank you for writing this.

3792184 Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate hearing all that you enjoyed about it

that was great

Holy fuck that was beautiful. This is going into my favorites

You know you have written an outstanding fic when I find myself searching it out, wishing to read it again more than a year later.

Also, this was the fic that opened my eyes to naming chapters in my stories in Latin. Even the title of this fic is memorable.

This is literally the most amazing romantic one shot I have ever read on this entire site. Everything about this was poetic perfection. The ending was simply the most incredible ending to any romance I've ever read.

Bravo.

5062435 second and having dated a blind girl before you captured it completely. I'm guessing you must have some experience otherwise you wouldn't be able to accurately get this.

Also i vote for a continuation of this series.

This was sickeningly adorable. I had my reservations about ready a 15,000 word clopshot, but there was so much story in this! More than enough for the favorite.

Thanks Melon! XD
I can sympathise with the whole going new places meeting new people thing right now. That was a really well done story.

Needs A Sequel!!! There are so many places you could go with this story!!!

This story is truly a great example of good writing and good narrative. The characters feel real, and their emotions are written in a way that you have to feel empathetic towards. And, perhaps it's personal bias, but I particularly enjoyed the actual issue at hand, namely the bias. But, my biggest qualm with this story is that there's no sequel or continuation; this story is a perfect lead up into another story or even a series that tackles the issues of having a relationship between a sighted pony and a sightless pony. I'd hate to see such a great story with so much potential going dead and ending here, but I'm a sucker for the really long, emotionally driven stories. Anyways, in short, this is an amazing story, and please write more <3

“I’m gonna make you squeak all night long”

That's so poni.

:rainbowlaugh:

This was just soo beautiful i can't put it into words

Una

This story was beautiful and really needs a follow up of some kind. It just has so much potential!
