There's a few punctuation and formatting errors to fix, I would double check things.
Also I feel like Twilight being confused over why everypony thinks of the Romans everyday is a tad odd given she's huge on history, and should see just like pretty much every historian why everyone thinks about them most of the time. A better fit probably would have been Rarity given that this whole thing started around very girly-girl type women being confused about the whole shebang.
Also also, Romare and Roam would work well for Roman and Rome, but that's just my opinion.

I was like, Huh? much of the story, yet I saw the humor in it. Totally random, just like Pinkie Pie is much of the time (if not always).
The only thing that i wasn't liking is what another commenter said before me, in that Twilight is a historian, and would be thinking about ponified Rome often as the modern day Equestria would have been built about it, as modern day Earth has to Rome.

Thanks for the feedback! I went with Twilight instead of Rarity mostly because I just like Twilight more. Also I used Ponyan Empire instead of another option because I just though it was funnier.

As an aromantic, it really does feel like people are speaking latin sometimes (except that I had a latin class in school, no one ever thaught me what in the world love is supposed to feel like)
