Beautiful... Truly beautiful. If it weren't for all the grammatical errors chopping up the story, it might have been more powerful, but, still beautiful.
Good story but needs work. There are a few spelling errors and you use the he wrong words at times or completely skip over words.
Just work on your grammar; misuse of your/you’re and some other stuff. If you can find a proofreader, use that resource.
At its core, your story works, spelling errors aside. Decent pacing, good work on keeping the characters in-character, and you made me cry. If you can make your reader give a damn, you’re doing something right.

the series doesnt outright state it but we DO get a reason if your paying atnetion, scootaloos wings are stunted, even in the images that show her as an adult in the future there half the size they should be, as such she cant get off the ground because her wings just don't generate enough lift.
i think honestly at first all 3 of the CMC were meant to have some disorder or physical issue as early on in the show remember that sweetie bell had almost no magical ability, however at some point, likely cause they were too cowardly to take the risk with such a plot thread the idea was abandoned and never fully explored
how much more endearing might the 3 of them have been if each lacked the traits that made there tribe special, if aple bloom lacked the earth ponies vaunted strength due to a fragile constitution, if sweetie belle could not cast spells as well as scootaloo not being able to fly...a story line where each of htem as they try to find there marks also come to terms with and overcome these limitations would have been amazing....but we never got it

And while I do agree that her wings are stunted in adulthood, we also see Bulk Biceps have filly sized wings as well, and while he does have some difficulty flying, it’s not to the extent that Scootaloo has.

10438400 I mean, it’s uncanny, but it’s not really an Oh Crap moment. I’m not the first person to write a story where Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash talk about the perils of being a flightless bird.

Good story, I like the plotline and the descriptions that you write. You're clearly a good writer, but the grammar and misspellings in here can be off-putting sometimes. I think a proofreader would solve those issues, though. Otherwise I like the story and exploration into Scootaloo not being able to fly.

bulk also is freakishly strong and can flap his wings so hard and fast as to compensate for the lack...it gives the idea that scoots could go that route too sure...but does she really wana end up looking like 'that' just to be able to bairly hover around?

that said there are sudo canonical fixes for this...though they do not seem to exist in the core timeline replacement 'cyber' wings are a thing in the sombra war timeline...which indicates that they are something that could be done...it would just require a reason to do so, the number of wounded pegasi during said war was the reason in that time line, in the mane one perhaps if scootaloo really really wanted to fly she could get twilights support and a team of researchers could create those same augmented wings to correct her lack.

Well, Bulk Biceps was never seen as a foal, so we don't rightly know that he started flying anywhere near the age when an average pegasus would. He could well have been in a similar predicament to Scootaloo growing up, requiring extensive training just to get to what we saw in "Rainbow Falls" (my headcanon there is that that's what spawned his love of lifting things).

The series also showed us a hang glider, Tank's propeller, two pedal-powered helicopters, and Kerfuffle's prosthetic leg (the last one isn't flight-related, but it is evidence that Equestria is not the sort of culture to slack off with developing actual solutions for individuals with disabilities). The comic showed us the story of an earth pony who got into the Wonderbolts after inventing a pair of strap-on wings. With Scootaloo's mechanical skill, she could very well build herself something with which to get flying.
One way or another, there is absolutely no excuse for her to be grounded for life.

and she isnt really, as she and dash DID find one work around in one episode iirc
scootaloo can still cloudwalk and while its not unasisted flight she can make another cloud scooter anytime she wants and let dash pull her around, she could also potentialy with a bit of study into weather magic take advantage of this to allow her to be able to reach cloud houses and such unaided by generating small clouds under her hoves to walk on as i'm fairly certaint hat is a thing pegasi can do, after all they had to do it somehow before they had the machinery to do it for them.
