This is an incredibly sweet story. I admit I was a bit taken aback when the little filly was revealed to be Scootaloo; I have a habit of not reading the character tags when I'm truly interested in a story, so I missed it. So it seemed to be a bit of a stretch and a rather hamfisted attempt at provoking emotion to have her as both deaf and blind.
At first.
Then as I kept reading, I truly felt empathy for the precious little filly. Her reactions were quite believable and endearing, as were Rainbow's. I will be watching for the updates, and as a writer myself, I know your time is limited, and interest in writing waxes and wanes. So I'll be patient, but know that this story has earned a special place in my heart, and I thank you for writing it.

Thank you so much for your kind review! Yes, one of the things I was worried about was people thinking making Scootaloo deaf-blind was a cheap attempt at stirring emotions. Thank you so much for letting me know it was more believable than just that!
As a writer, I'm thrilled when my words are able to evoke emotions in my readers. But as a storyteller, I like to have a solid explanation for everything because I hate it when "just because" is the only reason/explanation viewers are given. That being said, I researched until I had a viable reason for her deaf-blindness before I even posted the first chapter so I wouldn't be scrambling for an excuse later on down the line. Of course, telling you right now would be major spoilers, but I'm so glad you intend to stick around to find out!

I don't think I've ever read a story that could so thoroughly destroy my emotional state. The simultaneous influx of raw, unfiltered adorable mixed with pervasive use of that 'Sad' tag and the unrelenting tension of an adoption we know will happen but hasn't yet is akin to precise application of an industrial blender on poor, unsuspecting ingredients!

I have been idly observing this story to see whether or not it would be abandoned like most scootadopt central stories i fancy on this site.
Glad to see this is not only going to continue for a while, but having read it, is accurately written to how the characters would react in the show.
Also, the image of them all being either Anthro ponies or humans with slight pony traits and the Sign Language substitute being similar to what it is now but more like a series of shapes and Braille patterns traced and tapped out on the individual being talked to or a translator is more adorable than it should be.
There maybe a little more to the deafness. One of my ears is missing all of the middle ear bones and I have "profond deafness" in the ear.
But every case is different, mine was not at birth.
Rainbow did the Bast thing. She showed that Scootaloo comes 1st.
