Granted, I haven't seen all that much EQG - just the first two movies and a scattering of old episodes - but recontextualizing something like that in words, putting it on paper, was the sort of thing that made me step back and go "holy fuck" for a little. Like...yeah, of course that association makes sense, but...damn. Y'know?

Funny how one association can take a seemingly innocuous item and turn it into something unforgettable. I re-read the story a second time, and it felt like it had even more of an impact this time than before.
