Sequels1

Sunset Shimmer and Rarity used to date back in high school. Now the years has passed and they meet once again, two successful women with happy marriages and nice careers.

And unfinished business. Because maybe there was a small detail they forgot about...

My entry in Oroboro's Sunset Shipping contest :Endings. I regret nothing. Rated teen for alcohol and light swearing.
Awesome cover art, pre-reading and suggestion by Mustlovefrogs.

*read title* wait... is it...?
*reads chapter titles* It is!

Okay, I'm reading now!

Edit: Hmm... not exactly what I thought it was, but still good.

That was… unexpected, but still fun. Misunderstandings and teenage angst make for such entertaining bedfellows.

Thanks! And yes. They do indeed. :)

Aww, you left my hitherto unknown hankering for Lt. Colombo to visit Equestria unfulfilled.

Did not expect that twist, I tell ya! I'll say, it fit perfectly in though.

And that ending! xD

For now it's mostly an hommage to a great show but perhaps I can get my ass around to write one for real now that I know there's two of us. :)

Thank you very much!

Make that three. From the way things were being set up, I was expecting them to have broken up over being partners in crime.

Interesting... I got confused on a few parts. Is Jack Applejack? That seems to be what's implied but it kept distracting me a bit because I feel like there's so much I'm missing, and that seems intentional since so much is talked about as happening in the past and how everyone has hooked up one way or another.
Still, it left me also very engaged and wondering just what the hell happened (especially graduation... and all the rest), and it made me keep reading to see more interactions between them.
(also, there are quite a few darlings :raritywink:)
The breakup thing seems a bit over the top, but then breakups really can at least feel that way in real life, so why not in fiction!

Alright!
Yes, Jack is indeed male applejack. It's my crackship.
And yes, a lot is implied. But to me, I figure, when you meet an old friend you've known for a large part of your life, you don't start every conversation you have with them with a recap. And it's not really important to the story, imo. Stuff has happened.
There is a few darlings, but there was more when I started. Now it's down to a more acceptable level. You have seen the jar? She's saving for a trip to Kawaii. :)
About graduation, it's a good question. But Sunset doesn't want to talk about that and as an author, I have to respect that.
And yes, people can, and do, overreact over silly things. :)
Thank you for reading!

Well... maybe I will write something about that. I do would like to.read a Columbo/EqG crossover...

Well, dang. You granted my wish. Reckon it’s only fair I actually read this now.

we need a glass of an at least 30 year old Loch Lomond!

Somehow I doubt either of them will be taking the high road tonight.

If nothing else, I really love that scene where they describe how the other should have broken up with them. That's some good character work. :)
