I have had this idea in my head for a while and I wanted to share it. You get to say who she picks, all you have to do is leave a comment on which of the 5 mares you want Twilight to pick, and tell me why. The mare with the most votes will be the one that Twilight picks.
Wasn't able to put Rainbow dash's tag but she is in the story. And no Shining Armour does not exist in this story.

I think someone has a grudge agaisnt the guy i mean he could be in the story as twilights younger brother or cousin but my vote is for spitfire mostly because 2 of the 3 princess are over a thousand years old and thats just kinda gross in my opion it would be like sleeping with your grandma and cadence I think twilight would see as a big sister rather then a potential mate and for rainbow I like that ship but I want to see something else

With how many people ship Twilight with the princess (including me) I doubt anybody cares about the age difference and I like that you voted for Spitfire to win because I want her to win also but I want the audience to decide who she picks. The reason why Shining Armour isn't in this story is because the entire story is about each mare confessing their feelings to Twilight in the following chapters.

I enjoy both Twilestia and Twiluna ships but there are alot of those. Twidash is good to but again a lot of those. I would like to see either Twifire or Twidance mix it up a bit those two ships are under appreciated.
Personally I will root for Twifire as it's the underdog here. Wherever this goes I enjoy most of the ships so this should be good.
Here's what I see coming. No matter who Twilight decides to go with, she will break the hearts of four mares. Maybe not to the point they will try and sabatoge it.
But it's gonna be there no matter what. As for my choice, I'd go for one of the princesses. Rainbow is an overused ship, and I'm not really sure on Spitfire (nothing against her. Just not one I'm familiar with to make a judgement.)
Out of the three, I'm in with Cadance.
i like all the ships presented but you just dont see enough twifire so while id love to say just have her start a harem and chose all of them id vote spitfire

This was a chapter telling who shes about to pick, the chapters that come later will be their confession to Twilight so one confession per chapter and the final chapter is her telling who she picked
TwiDash is overrated, and TwiFire is a crack ship. I'd go with a princess and probably pick between Luna and Cadance. Luna because she would be eternally grateful for having her life saved multiple times. Cadance because of their history. My choice sides with Luna.

i say Luna, because their colours go well with each other, i could see Luna as somepony who loves books, the way she talks is very beautiful, their both princesses, they both won't die, Luna is meant to help ponies calm down and work out how to fix their nightmares, and as Twi is known panicking, i could see Luna helping Twi when ever she panics, Twilight loves watching the stars, and a date of them star gazing and having a picnic would be so cute, also Luna could move the stars to ask Twi to marry her, oh and Twilight is Luna's hero, she did save her from the nightmare X3

Oh dear, this story is a bit of a mess.
grammatical issues, perspective changes, tense jumps... You should definitely check over it again to fix a few things.
My biggest complaint though would be that the writing is just pretty blant. It's uninteresting and overly simple. That's just kinda something that you can fix through experience and effort.
The premise is interesting enough, though I will personally not read any future chapters.
I'd say go with Luna. I do like TwiFire, but a story needs to have a lot of depth and pull some pretty neat stuff to make that a believable pairing and not just a crackship. I don't see this story heading in that direction, rather taking a different approach.

If you say that about Cadance and Twilight having a history, then you can't just discount Celestia, either.
Personally, I'm for either Celestia or Luna. Celestia preferred, again, because of their history, but I'm not one to turn down Luna if a strong enough case is presented.
I would like it to be Cadance. She has been Twilight's friend since she was a filly.
I wouldn't choose Celestia, as I think Twilight sees her more as a mother.
Not Rainbow because there's just too much fics of those 2, I'm already tired of that ship.
Spitfire is interesting, there isn't much of those 2.
Luna could work, but there's more fics of those 2 than Cadance, so I prefer Cadance.

Alright, so here's where this going for me right now, I love all of these ships... Though Twi x mare is kind of thing... Call me weird. I don't care, I am... definitely not normal. But like some people have pointed out, some of these ships happen a lot more than others TwiLestia and TwiDash for instance. TwiLuna also, (my favorite ship btw) is a little more common than most of the ships Twilight gets with mares. Now TwiDance and TwiFire however, are two ships that get very little love, but due to my favoritism of TwiFire I'm gonna have to cast a vote for the Twilight x Spitfire pool.

Also, Twilight totally looks up to Celestia as more a second mother than a friend/marefriend.

No, you can't. You can't just use some of the facts when you want to argue. You have to look at all of them. And wow, just calling out two of most popular ships (Twidash and Twilestia) as overwritten? I want to say get over yourself, but that sounds a lot more pretentious than I mean to come across. Maybe... take a chill pill? There are plenty of other ships to enjoy.
There are reasons the ships are so popular. As far as Twiestia, there's a larger part of the fanbase that enjoys exploring that relationship. Twidash, I'm not too big a fan of myself, but it's popularity can't be denied. Don't get me wrong, I ship Twiluna as well, and while they aren't as numerous, they still bring just as much passion to the ship as the Twilestia shippers do.
Back to Twilestia, Twilight adores Celestia. This is canon, from episode 1. You can clearly see it. Whether that means as a second mother, a favorite teacher, or something romantic is up for debate. You cannot deny that Twilight does her utmost to please Celestia. Have you watched this latest season? There are several episodes where their relationship is clearly changing, from what was student/teacher (or pupil/mentor) into more friends than anything else. Celestia probably doesn't have much left to actually teach Twilight, and that dynamic is going away, but their relationship is not.
But, I'm not discounting Cadance in this. She, if nothing else, is one of Twilight's best friends, or should be. The time Twilight spent as a kid growing up would make them both special to her, in possibly different ways. She could've been Twilight's first crush, devastated in secret when she finds out her older brother is dating Cadance. She could also only see Cadance as a best friend, whom she can go to over anypony else when she needs a shoulder to cry on, or talk with after a stressful day.
Either one of these is valid, but you cannot just throw away the dynamic that Celestia and Twilight have for no reason. It would be doing both of their characters a disservice.

Oh and the reason why they aren't sabotaging the dates is because none of them know the others asked Twilight out. But if they did they would most likely do something to ruin the dates.
