Twilight goes to Cantertlot to talk to Celestia about a crush she developed on somepony.
This has been nagging me ever since I thought about it. So eventualy I said 'screw it', and decided to write this and post it.
This was just an idea so I don't care if it's good or bad. So have at it with this story hate it or love it. I didn't intend for this to be good or liked, all I wanted to do was write this idea down, post it and be done with it. Also I never tried to make it good all it was was an idea.

Well that was a little darker than expected.

That's why its called 'Unexpected'.
Wow i didn't see that coming
So not one of Applejack’s friends or family did anything to help them? That’s just cold.
I went into this expecting the ending to reveal that Celestia's the one Twilight has a crush on. I wasn't expecting Applejack. But... this story's pretty dark.
Ok
Yes this truly was an unexpected read. It really felt like a story out of the Old Testament but was lacking in moral.
the pacing was kinda off. She met with Celestia, was offered Tea and merely exchanged a few words before Celestia beckoned her to follow. Twilight basically had to gulp down a whole cup of steaming tea in one go.
About the Apples having to move out and wither away was odd, as nopony noticed and/or try to help. I know this is to make the story work, but still, it's really odd.
I liked this story mostly due to it's weird pacing and simplification, like in the biblical stories. However it's still really rough.
If this is a dark story, you should really put the dark tag on here.
what
Celestia, the thousand years old alicorn, diarch of Equestria:"Oh, my way-younger-than-me student loves the element of honesty instead of me?Better kill her off! It's not like she contributed to Equestria's saving when my sorry, useless ass didn't do shit"
Very Bible-like
Celestia didn't.....
Ok so now I have a quastion, what's going to happen to the element of honesty? Didn't Celestia think this through? Well clearly not because as the story continues, I realized Celestia hasn't mentioned it once! Also seriously, why is Twilight so dumb, "hot summer"? "Blazing sun"? I mean seriously, who else controls the sun? Obviously Celestia made it hotter! Uuuuuuuuugh!
