It's not Spike's fault he wasn't partial to the events of the previous story. He's going off of what he knows of her, that being the invasion of Canterlot.
I have a feeling when Luna vouches for her while not under the effects of mind control, the populous will think she's gone evil again and her being reformed was all an act while she built her power. She's allied herself with the changelings and is trying to overthrow Celestia again and bring about eternal night! The horror! The horror!
