Foxhelm

Found the show in late 2015, and fell in love with it. I also like D&D (3 and 3.5), Fansty novel and movie, Sci-Fi movies. MarbleMac is Best Ship and Flashlight is a fair second

This story is a sequel to My Little Mages: The Sirens' Song

Almost a year since Sunset, the Rainbooms and the Shadowbolts have defeated the Sirens, and Sunset's life has been well. However, Baroness Cinch has revealed her 'little' project, an artificial human with powers beyond even four demigods, an avatar of a prime alignment, three sirens and more, made with the very blood of Twilight Sparkle.
However, this Sci-Twi is unstable and one small thing can cause her to lose herself.
Can Sunset, with the help of her friends from Mystica, stop Midnight Sparkle from tearing the world apart?
Is the magic of Friendship comparable to a god?
Or will Cinch's experiment doom the world?

A My Little Mages AU retelling of The Friendship Games.
Set to be cotemporal to My Little Mages: The Remarking of Time

Warning: This doesn't have a happy ending

Cinch walked up to her with a concerned look, not unlike a mother or doctor with a child or patient that just started to recover from something that could have killed the child or patient “Take it easy, my dear.” The young woman turned to look squarely at Cinch, “You’ve given us all quite the scare," She paused for a second.

Dang! She makes Mother Gothel look genuine and loving in comparison. :ajbemused:

Well, I've always liked Cinch to Lady Tremaine.

Onto what I believe is going to be this series' version of DBZ's Cell Saga. This isn't going to be pretty.

:pinkiegasp: "Not the DBZ's Cell Saga! Anything but the DBZ's Cell Saga!... Um... question, what's the DBZ's Cell Saga?"

DBZ is shorthand for Dragon Ball Z, the title given to the section of the anime adaption of the Dragon Ball manga series from volumes 16 to 42 of the series. The Cell Saga refers to the section of the series covered in volumes 31 to 35 with the character Cell (an android that's body was made from the DNA of not only the Dragon Ball protagonists but also several villains) is the main antagonist.

:pinkiegasp:"Oh!"

Hey there. I have to say, once again, great job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I particularly liked the "Daring Do" exchange (good pre-adventure comic relief) as well as the reveal of Twilight's clone (which, to be honest, most of us saw coming, but it IS a good way to explain how there could be two Twilights in this universe).

And, yeah, you did provide fair warning that there wouldn't be a happy ending (and, to be honest, Bittersweet Ending is probably the best we could realistically hope for here anyway [I mean, we know all of the main Twilight's friends are going to survive since they're all in stories set after this one and Sunset will probably survive because there will be stories that SHE is still needed alive for after this one, but beyond that, just about anything goes]), so thanks for the heads up on that end too.

At any rate, I have a bad feeling about what's going to happen next, but it's, of course, the bad feeling that makes for VERY good story-telling and I will most definitely be looking forward to more.

XD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Few things, one: nice touch with using the map for how the other 5 are there
Two: why is the video at the end of the chapter twice?
And three: how many chapters is this planned for?
Ps, four: i was a little worried when you said it will not have a happy ending, and one of the tags is “death” but then it hit me, Cinch is going to die isn’t she?

8853132
1) Thanks
2) user error in embedding them
3) Can't tell you, spoilers
4) See above

8853139
Oh, as for the chapters thing, i was asking because if it going to have the same amount of chapters as remaking of time i could read 1 chapter of each as these are posted

8853143
3 to 4 planned, but I planned Siren's Song to be that length and... yeah

8853381
I have the fealing it’s going to be cinch

8855379
I don't think Sunny would lose a wink of sleep over Cinch's demise.
However, hypothetically speaking, if Cinch was to die, that and this story not having a happy ending aren't mutually exclusive.

Scootaloo sighed, “Well, Flash did plan to spend the next couple days with me and First Base, it is his leave after all.” The young monk gave the perplexed jester a way out of her state.

Remember how you changed the circumstances of the royal wedding to save the Princess Sisters their dignity? This setup basically does the same thing for Flash. As much as I loved The Friendship Games, it was a pretty humiliating movie for Flash. The implied big brother!Sentry in here is an added bonus.

“Technically I only cloned Princess Twilight Sparkle as the base with augmentations based on the DNA and RNA of everyone else.” Cinch answered blankly, “Granted I was not expecting her to be the base. But beggars cannot be choosers.”

Wait, so who was she planning on being the base? :twilightoops: If I gambled which I don't, I'd bet on Celestia.

Alright. First off, the memory thing isn't going to happen for a while, Pinkie.

Second, looks like Sci-Twi hasn't actually become evil yet since AJ sensed it. This will be interesting.

Third, Pinkie coming up with great and unexpected plan is totally in character.

Fourth, now it looks like things are going to go differently than it did in the Friendship Games special/movie with what happened at the end.

Hey there. Thanks greatly for getting the next chapter up. I really appreciate you going to the effort. Again, the characterizations and exchanges were quite well done. I particularly liked Pinkie's comic relief moments and the Main Five's first meeting with Twilight's clone and yeah, that magic drain power she probably got from Tirek's genetic material probably was NOT the smartest move you could have made, Cinch (not that creating a potentially nigh-omnipotent, but even more potentially unstable, clone of a demigod would be considered a smart move anyway, but you get the idea).

Indeed, I'm DEFINITELY going to be looking forward to more of this.

Hold it. Was Cinch trying to create Daybreaker but ended up with Midnight instead? :pinkiegasp:

All that mix of DNA is bound to explode in something dangerous. Cinch should learn that such underhanded tactics always turn bad.

Once again, superb work on the latest chapter. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-ups are quite well done in all the right places. I particularly liked the girls' attempts to help out Sci-Twi and the "Smile" song. And yeah, I'm getting a really bad feeling about Cinch's attempts to isolate Sci-Twi and how badly THAT's going to end .

Again, I will definitely be looking forward to more of this as soon as it comes.

Am I the only one totally creeped out by how Cinch can go from cold and fearsome to kind and motherly and back again so easily?:twilightoops:

8888965
That's was the plan.... Muwahahaha:pinkiecrazy::pinkiecrazy::pinkiecrazy:

lol :trollestia:

Cinch is gonna get it oh-so-much, that she won't even believe it!

so just wondering if there are more chapters to go because I am quite hooked on this series

More is coming, but I need a take a break. However, once I back... I'll be back with more than just the next chapter of this story.

Well, all I can say is wonderful job getting this story started back up. The exchanges, characterizations and climax set-up are all well done in all the right places. Yeah, Cinch framing Celestia for her own experiment was pretty darn low (but NOT unexpectedly so) and I felt bad for both Sunset AND Sci-Twi over their massive argument , but I DID really like Applejack's attempt to talk to Sci-Twi before things got too bad .

Now, on to the final chapter.

I have to admit, I DID appreciate the fair warning when the story started concerning the tear-jerker stuff and it definitely delivered. Anyway, the action, characterizations, exchanges, general wrap-up and future story set-up are all well done in all the right places. I particularly liked how CInch got some VERY well-deserved karma AND the touch concerning Sci-Twi's remains going toward creating what I'm guessing to be the geodes in your version of "Legend of Everfree" .

Anyway, I'm definitely going to be looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

"sigh" Foxhelm, I know you're one of those guys who think pickup lines make great icebreakers. Unfortunately for me, I'm one of those girls who think they just make the room colder. :ajbemused: My idea of a good icebreaker is "So, how has your day been?" Simple, straightforward, and flattery-free.

By the way, the dialogue between Cinch and the Rainbolts totally felt like you had written yourself into a corner. If you hadn't put the start of the climax right after it, the story wouldn't have been able to continue. I guess it goes to show just how good of a doublespeaker you envision Cinch to be.

There's not much to say. I mean, it's just as unhappy of an ending as you promised. :fluttershysad:

Fair enough with the whole bibliophile line, but you have to remember when it comes to courtship, the courted has more control than the one doing the courting because the courter has to make an unmistakable impression up front.
As for Cinch, she's a politician, that was the goal and she made the fact inescapable.

8951361
I know, I cried as I was writing this.

Whoa, super twist!

I finally got to read these two chapters and I was extremely satisfied! Good job, pal!

Ooo a shout out to the Dance story with Pinkie and Dash. Love it.

Sunset soon felt the rush of power that came to her from the course into and through her, she could have sworn she heard Celestia’s voice, ‘Arise, Daydream Shimmer.’

Ok.... THAT actually gave me chills. I love this story

This is the inspiration of the scene

Glad you love it

I think this would be Midnight's Boss Theme

Sci-Twi could not help but laugh as she witnessed confetti be shot out of the cannons and to the tune of an overture. Sci-Twi didn’t know the name of the overture, but it was the overture of the 1812th anniversary of the founding of Mystica.

Nice reference to the 1812 Overture. :rainbowlaugh: Now I got that playing in my head.
