The Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics states that we live in an infinite web of alternate timelines, each distinct from one another in some way.

Across these infinite realities, the boundless possibilities, there are many alternate versions of Twilight Sparkle and Spike the Dragon. Every reality has a Twilight and a Spike.

One of them wants to change that.

Okay, I have to ask, where the Hell did you get that cover art? It's awesome.

8117686 A simple Google search of the term "Many-Worlds Interpretation"

Considering I just rewatched Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind, this is great.

8117862 I recently rewatched the whole series, and that's what sparked this idea. I've been jonesing for some extradimensional shenanigans.

so, you've seen a ponyverse with a rouge Twilight....

Thanks for the heads up, we'll have to "shove my horn up Shining's ass and pump him full of hero juice" to make an universal shield again....

Yes.
Far better than how my execution ended up working.

Ah, you're pulling a Rick and Morty on us. Excellent. Can't wait for more.

8118334 This was very much so inspired by Rick and Morty, but I'd be remiss if I didn't warn you: This story is not going to be very funny. And not "not funny" in a dark and twisted kinda way. Just not funny.

Hope you enjoy irregardless.

This should be interesting. Also, I saw that you had "C-317". I'm assuming that, that is a take on the C-137 in Rick and Morty. Also, I'm calling it right now, Sparkle X-215 will die.

8118493 Very astute observation! I'm probably going to keep slipping in tiny Rick and Morty references like that.

Interesting hypothesis. We'll just have to see about that, eh?

Well, this ought to be good.

Whelp, looks like we're going through time and relative dimensions in space.

I love me some wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stories!

I'm ready for this. Allons-y!

I am entertained by this. Please do continue

8119026 Heresy! You should be saying... GERONIMO!

8119636 Come on, mate.

Don't be lasagna.

8119643 Alright, I'm way behind on my Dr. Who.

What the fuck is up with the lasagna?

Awesome. It's like Crisis of Infinite Twilights, only completely different. More, please.

8119717 It's a phrase the Twelfth Doctor says in the Series 8 episode "Into the Dalek." Fortunately, it was a one-liner that is really funny in context.

Unfortunately, Twelve doesn't have a catchphrase.

You really should watch Series 9.

Ah a Twilight multiverse story with a rogue Twilight(s). Well I can't say it is unoriginal idea but at a same time it was done already. Of course it doesn't mater how original idea is (or I think it is), but how good the story will be.

So we have some rogue Twilight organization and our Twilight teaming up with another Twilight...and of course since this is multiverse setting the possibilities are limited only by authors imagination. Still I'll take a wild shot and guess that rogue Twilights do not consider themselves evil but are working for "greater good" goal.

I do wonder will there be crossovers with other stories.

8119818 I know, I know, I've been putting it off for far too long. I'll try to catch up ASAP

8119822 I don't know if I'll do any explicit crossovers, unless I can find a decent way to justify it, but I do intend to make several references.

The very next chapter contains a not-so-subtle nod to my beloved crime drama.

Also, I find it interesting that you are theorizing RogueLight has an organization. I believe this is an example of Occam's Razor, my friend. The simpler explanation is normally correct.

8119930 Yay, I was aiming at certain crime drama that was written by certain author here.

And well S-169 is talking to someone so she isn't working alone, I just assumed she had her own support group. Of course it could be just Spike S-169 or some other individual.

8119824 You really should! Series 9 is now renowned as the best series since Who was revived in 2005! With the best episode being "Heaven Sent," the first episode in a two-parter series finale.

I'm really just trying to trigger guilt right now. :pinkiehappy:

But great start by the way!

Twilight multiverse shinanigans. Looks promising.
Funny enough I was just reading one of the newest issues of Nightwing which involved him being forced to view all the evil alternate versions of himself.

I'm seriously thinking TX is a very specific time lord with the bigger-on-the-inside-but-not-quite tech and the "Isn't this exciting?!" line.

But in all seriousness, how far are you into the story itself? Are you finished, halfway, etc?

And I can't wait for the next universe! Dimension hopping is very fun!

8121011 I think her Time Lord-ness is my passive-aggressive way of getting back at you for guilting me for being behind on Doctor Who.

I literally just finished this chapter about an hour ago. This entire story is very spontaneous for me. I didn't really plan to write this or schedule any time aside to publish it. I sorta just said "fuck it, it's going up today" and uploaded. I do have the story outline laid out in my head (as is the case with most of the things I put out), but I'm not sure how long this will be or what all will go down. This is going to be an adventure for all of us!

Thanks for reading!

8121011 it tends to be fun, but mostly is work... I think I should visit "Z-544"... to set up proper counter measures... I don't think using Shining as a shield generator will cut out this time...

sadly this one should be personal... I'd rather not endanger my budding personnel...

Is that a Crime Pays reference?

Yes. Yes it is exciting. And I can't wait for more.

This is getting more and more interesting. Favourited!

a universe more horrific than your worst night terrors

Is it a universe with Inquisitor Sparkle, in the Imperium of Ponykind?
... or an Equestria invaded by quesadilla monsters?

It's alright, take the time you need. RL comes first.

Hey C-420 Spike did what he had to do.

Also so far so good. Can't wait to see dimension Z.

Funny how neither Rogue nor TX have their Spike...

It's either the Stockholm Universe, the Fallout Equestria Universe, or the Weedverse after Grogar shat in it.

8121556 Very, very astute observation. I wonder if that's important at all...

It is.

8121755 It's not any of those. Dimension Z-544 is based on the work of a director by the name of David.

That's all you get from me.

8121785 I swear if it's David Cage.

8121790 HELL FUCKING NO!

Jesus fuck! No reality is that terrible! Fucking hell...

I'm not Hitler, for Christ's sake.

8121804 I can already see it. The alternate reality where all of the Mane Six are played by Ellen Page and the episodes are not in any particular order.

8121821 We come to find out that Twilight C-317 was the killer despite us seeing into her thoughts and hearing her think things like "I wonder who the Origami Killer is?"

Fuck David Cage, is my point.

8121775
As a continuation, TX said that the safest place for a Spike is with his Twilight. I feel like TC ought to notice the distinct lack of Spike. She'd probably accept any explanation, but she wouldn't be happy until she got one.

8121826 One of the things I love about writing for Twilight is that she can be simultaneously brilliant and oblivious. She's undeniably a genius, but that intellect sometimes gets in her own way. That's why we need Spike; less intelligent, but arguably more observant and possessing more common sense.

Twilight C-317 has her Spike, so she won't really notice a lack of one at first. Spike C-317, however, would notice the lack of Spike because of the extra Twilight.

This is to say, in so many words, the issue will come up.

We'll find out Rogue Twilight (you wrote it as Rouge at one point) is actually just a mind-controlled proxy. And the true killer was a Spike all along. From the one universe where Spike was the Evil Twilight and Twilight was the fearful, good-intentioned Spike.

8122204 Heheh, I actually was intending to go for something like that at first, but then I thought of something better.

The opportunity was not lost on me.

"We get to explore a universe more horrific than your worst night terrors."

Oh god it's Equestria girls isn't it :o

Ho ho ho hoooooooooooo shit.

Not good.

Nice going Z-544. Everypony hates you.

In all fairness though, reanimating dead corpses and causing self-made eldritch abominations to wreak havoc and cause the apocalypse does tend to put a damper on relationships.
