Is this after Spike had gotten his wings? If so, seems odd that they're never described reacting to anything, or when he's on his back. I would really feel more comfortable if he did have them, because those let me seem him as a teenager and not a kid.

Another fine point. I get the concern, though. Whatever age Twilight is, Spike is younger, and Rarity is about Twilight's age. So, you know there is that.

If you assume the first rainboom was about 12 years before the pilot (Cutie Mark Chronicles) that fits.
Twilight was probably 5-6 then, the same for Dash. Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie & probably 1-2 years older Dash. (Call Of The Cutie, Dash tells Apple Bloom that she was the first in her class to get her mark)
Rarity had her own business in the pilot, so was probably the oldest (her or AJ) & maybe 20ish (?)

Legal we cannot know, since I doubt there will be a very special episode of MLP in which Sweetie hooks up with a wonderbolt. Right? Again, subjective. Only Rarity and Spike can know if it'd right for them to be together.

Pretty decent. Could use more than "herb" to describe weed or "clover" or whatever.
Only two things that I didn't like was the fact that they were smoking really old pot. Don't. I have. Don't.
Two was the the joint lasted way too long.
However the kiss to share smoke I do with my girlfriend all the time. Saves on weed and I'm still somewhat a lightweight somehow even though I've smoked for years.
All in all good story.
