I'm left wondering if Flash ever really pays attention to his horoscope...
Good God Flash... I know you have a lot of Personas now, but you can't carry the world on your shoulders.
I'm getting worried about him personally. At least he didn't die, so I didn't get a game over, but still...
And the culprit just outright said Rainbow Dash was the next victim... Hm...
I don't want to suspect her, but I think back to P4 and how it turned out to be Adachi in the end... He was a bumbling cop, and with the way Fluttershy has been acting...
I think it's her, but I hope it isn't. I just don't think it's Sunset Shimmer anymore. Maybe it's her, but at this point I think she's either A, just being a bitch, or B actually looking into the issue herself.
In case you didn't know, I'm taking this case VERY seriously.

I'm assuming probably not since, y'know this happened. Or he reads them and then forgets half way though the day. Unless its a birthday horoscope.
Oh, and I'm glad you're feeling better Mythril Moth! I love your work.
5484377 Thanks. Actually, I'm still sick. But I was able to write at least.
5484376
Flash only saw his own birthday horoscope. He doesn't see anyone else's, that's just a narrative element for our benefit.
Here's where it's explained on Twilight's birthday:
5484396 Yes, exactly. The "player" is the only one who sees the death horoscopes.
5484396
Ahh! I forgot about that!
5484372
Mmmm, you and me both. I've been trying to keep track of everything by writing it down, important things to little things that just seem weird. Its all in my Persona Notebook!
I don't think it's Sunset anymore either. Your theory on Fluttershy is good but I hope its not true!
5484372
You realize that by describing the character as a "bumbling cop", you already reveal the twist for people that haven't played the game? And sorry if I sound angry, but just so happens that I got spoiled on it by your comment.
Now, Onto the chapter itself:
Flash getting drunk with power? didn't though it was possible (in story) for the Wild Card character to be so reckless with their Persona usage... Though that might be because Minato and Yu lack much of a personality, mary-sue much?
Also, I checked Cadance's analysis on the Zodiac Shadows and apparently, none of them has an Arcana or it's unknown. Oh well.
There is a difference between using your full potential and going mad with power. Flash probably just strained his soul in a very bad way. If he's very lucky, he'll be okay by Saturday. Furthermore, it probably would've been a good idea to keep a few of those in reserve, in case Eris's mistress was watching. Play it a little closer to the vest, big boy.
Here's hoping the damage isn't too severe.
That's why you don't go spam happy with your powers!
Holy crap, Granfaloon!?
5484372
You know, I've actually been suspecting for some time that Sunset isn't actually the villian, or certainly not the BIG BAD. And the last several chapters have really been causing me to be suspicious of Fluttershy.
5484605
You can be fairly reckless, even if the Game versions of the characters are pretty open-ended. The Movie version of Minato is pretty quiet and unassuming, while the TV version of Yu is actually a hilarious deadpan snarker.
I do find it interesting that Flash seemed to be almost compelled to use all of his personas though.
Also, isn't Cu usually a pretty leveled persona? I remember him being in the 40ish range? Did the investigation team manage to power level that much even though they only just got a 3rd member? If so, props, even I don't dungeon grind that much!
5484605 The anime version of Yu plays fast and loose with his Persona deck as well, except that he usually has the levels to back them up and has already summoned them at least once before. In-game, of course, you can change Personas once per turn, drawing from a max of 12 in your stock, so yes, a prolonged battle would look very much like this if the player were forced to use all of them.
(Except that the enemies would get to act in between summonings. But chalk that up to dramatic license.)
5484813 More like, this is why Igor doesn't let you fuse a Lv.46 Persona when you're just about to face the fourth boss, even if you have the ingredients and S.Link for it. If you don't have enough Gym Badges, your mind will literally fracture from trying to change your personality so drastically.
5485037
Ooooh. That's something I hadn't thought about. Using a persona higher level than you would be more like overwriting your own data with it's. That's an angle I hadn't considered before, and now I am super intrigued.
5484813
Flash isn't nearly mentally or physically ready to summon most of the Personas he used here...which is why he had that weird berserker breakdown. The Personas he unleashed are based entirely on his Social Link growth...not on his combat experience growth. Even summoning Jinn was far beyond what he's ready for, and it just got worse from there.

5485136
Ah, got it. That's an interesting narrative concept for the whole "this persona is level X" idea.
Kuso! So thats what happens when you use your Personas too much... And I thought you just get too tired to move. Going berserk and then passing out is not what I expected.
5484686
Well, post-Symphony of the Night Castlevania DID rename all future appearances as Legion, so yeah, same thing. XD
Also, isn't Take-Mikazuchi KANJI'S Persona? How did Igor let him get THAT one? XD
5486344 It's not the same Persona. When demons are repurposed as party character Personas, they're given a completely new design to differentiate them from the regular designs.
This is the standard design for Take-Mikazuchi, which was used for its appearance in Persona 3:

And the P4 redesign as Kanji's Persona:

Be wary of beings with power, you never know how sturdily their placed.
5486885
Ahh...I had no idea he was even in P3, so that answers my question very easily.
I have a feeling Flash and the gang's relationships are going to become tather more strained, at least until Flash realizes that he's actually hurting his friends instead of helping them.
Also,

Man I can't wait to see which of the mane 6 is Pices! my guess it is either rarity or fluttershy
This, my friends, is what happens when you apply the psychological concept of a Persona to the video game series Persona. Having that many different personalities in your skull is dangerous.
5486885 Y'know, I always liked the Kanji-redesign for Take-Mikazuchi. It's why I almost didn't want to max out Kanji's Social Link: I didn't want him to lose the giant skeleton robot wielding a thunderbolt.

Concidering who's Running the Horoscopes...
Ooooh, wasn't expecting this conflict. Certainly helps keep the battle chapters feeling varied.
This story has kept me up past 3:30 AM.
Awwwww. so many Persona's
WE GET ROTTEN LUCK AND HE GETS 11 AT ONCE!
