Hmm. The app always goes down before people can bring it to Celestia's attention...
I can't help but think of the ultimate enemy in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Does the Tetragrammaton Himself show up in Persona games?
In any case, Flash has received the call to action. I look forward to seeing what he does now.
(Also, gee, I wonder which Major Arcana represents Cadance...)
5140019 Overarching SMT lore doesn't really apply to the Persona series, so don't go looking for Big Bads just yet.
And yeah, Cadance is the Lovers Arcana. (Pretty much had to be )
Hot diggity dog.
This is why I don't mess around with the Horoscope, or Zodiac, it's some crazy stuff. Tarot cards included.
This is outrageous. And I love it. Gosh darn Sentry, next time don't nearly get yourself killed!
Oh! Are we gonna find out who the two deaths were? Hmmmm??
5140066 The texts are explained (more or less) in today's chapter.
Being chained to the ground/nailed to a cross/hanged doesn't seem to impede the attack range and movement of Shadows very much. Just roll with it.
5140072 Possibly. Haven't decided.
You're getting an upvote simply because I can tell that most of the downvotes so far are purely because of Flash.
Hmm, Would I dare to take a wild speculation on the appearance of Aquarius, The Water Bearer?
Dont mind if I do!/Ugh, we should probably just wait for it to actually show up
Meh, there's no harm done. And, it's for funsies!
Anyway, It looks like a mask shaped, brass/clay urn, with several cracks and holes over it. From one of these holes is a yellow eye picking from the inside of the container, and it is constantly leaking blood. The lid of the urn is missing, and from it emerge two twisted arms, which it uses to walk.
Probably missing by a landslide. Oh well...
I can't help but wonder, does Cadence also know about Igor and the Velvet Room? Or is that something only Flash knows about at the moment?
5140442 The Velvet Room is something only the protagonist is aware of in Persona. Other party members are never able to see it and have no idea it exists. The door to the Velvet Room can be right in front of them and they'll never see it. Only the one who has been invited to the Velvet Room and signed the contract is able to see the door or enter it.

Ah! Thank you for explaining that.
Ahh...so Cadence is the scanner/guide unit of this story. I was wondering what rule she would play.
...And Cadence gets the Lovers arcana because of course she does.

How about Philemon or Nyarky?
I think I already know the answer to this but will Cadance's Persona look like Venus in Persona 2. A ask because I looked Aphrodite up on the wiki and Venus came up
5140479 And then you get Persona Q which basically shits all over this explanation.

Eh, the "ultimate enemy" of Megaten tends to vary, at any rate. He only shows up in all his jaundiced Mr. Clean glory in SMTII --Nocturne barely shows an aspect of him, IV has only a representative, Strange Journey has his antagonistic counterpart, and the Demon Summoner games are just humans allied with powerful demonic forces. Persona itself tends to concern itself with manifestations of human fears and desires and doesn't even know about YHVH or the Great Will.

Persona 2's Venus is part of Kaneko's High-Heel Fashion Period, an aesthetic that... doesn't fit what MM's going for here :p In fact, all Classical Mythology deities that this story will share with the Persona series will be redesigned to better fit the local aesthetic, as opposed to Kaneko's.
But yes, Venus is the Roman version of the Greek Aphrodite :)

Technically, anyone who can possess the Wild Card (or wield multiple Personas) can enter the Velvet Room, or can draw others into it (like in The Answer). Persona 1 and 2 had the entire party walk into it, no big, because they handled it as a more traditional RPG would. But since Persona 3 and 4 went for a more personal, "you are the Protagonist" approach, and your companions' Personas didn't change but evolve, their version of the Velvet Room was restricted to just you.
Personavenue Q's loophole operates under those same principles. Since party members are allowed to equip sub-Personas while trapped in the Labyrinth, they too can see the Velvet Room... but as soon as the incident is over, and their normal adventures resume, they lose this ability.
5140019 Considering I know little of the series, take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. If I remember correctly, the "Big Bad" for the majority of Persona games is the Crawling Chaos(aka the Messenger Soul of Azaroth, The Black Pharaoh, the Nemesis Continuum, and He Who I Cannot Spell Right).
5140072 I know, right? I prefer not to play with fire. It's sort of a Pascal's Wager inverted; either it doesn't work(and is thus a waste of my time), or it does, and is operated by an unknown force with unknown motives, and thus cannot be trusted.
Hey wait...magical apps granting special abilities...oh my god, it's SMT4 all over again. Where's Burroughs when you need her?
I am commenting on the chapter that is my birthday on my birthday.
DOUBLE BIRTHDAY BONUS!!!!!!!!
6370840 You are going to die today.
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
With the "tutorial" part over, this is the part where things really start to have an impact.
I don't know if this was intentional or not, but...
Fun fact: The very first female persona user you see in every 'main' Persona game since 2 is the Lovers Arcana.
Who's the first female persona user we meet in this story?
Spoiler for Persona 4
Yup, even here. The very first female persona user is Rise, via commercial. Which is why I said see and not meet.

Honestly didn't notice that until you pointed it out. Wow. Freaky coincidence. o.o
