Well, I believe people can have their own opinions on that matter. I myself choose not to support gay people, but I don't go around spouting out hatred for them, I treat them like every other person. That's the reason I disliked the story but choose to stay out of the arguments.
But he's sincerely stupid for posting stuff like that in his stories. He could have easily made a story without all of that in it and instead just made it a straight Lyra.
It's not the hardest thing in the world, and it's better to have people in the comments saying, "Oh no! LyraBon isn't in this story!" then having people have flame wars about it.
