Competing for a chance to hang out with the Wonderbolts during their training, Rainbow Dash finds herself in yet another competition. Only this time, things go wrong—very wrong. In the end, Rainbow Dash winds up so seriously injured that she may never fly again.
This aftermath leaves her closest friends scrambling for answers and solutions, but both seem to be elusive. Can they find a way to heal Rainbow Dash, or will she be condemned to the life of an earth pony?

The main reason why I omitted this chapter on fanfiction, as opposed to here, is the rating difference. Fanfiction has the K+ rating. Here, however, it's Teen, so I have more flexibility in what I post here.

You know, that reminded me of an episode of M*A*S*H, when Winchester and Klinger were trapped in the middle of nowhere, and they have to save these foreign soldiers. And it turns out they were probably about a 5-10 minute walk away from their camp.

It's good to see this story update again. In glad I managed to keep track of this one when I switched to Fimfiction
Just beautiful. The phoenix feathers and the talk with Scootaloo were both excellent twists in the story. It really showed how much Dash's character had grown since the story started. Sad to see the story end, but happy for its conclusion.

I'm pretty happy about finally finishing it. It took forever, and now it feels like I've accomplished something new. This is the longest completed story I've written to date.
80,000 words well spent in my opinion.
The bits with Scootaloo in the epilogue and the last chapter where pretty good. I originally found this story on fanfiction, but i lost track of it when i switched to fimfiction. I managed to find it again a couple of chapters ago, and i'm glad i found it again.
Rarity, I think you need to keep that cloth and turn it into a small suit for somepony. Think of it, ancient powerful suits
