Twilight Sparkle is brilliant. This is not ego, this is fact. One proven by her latest creation for LunaTech, a personal robotic companion capable of meeting all of its owners needs. But when the robot starts to show signs of developing beyond its programming, Twilight must decide whether she can continue the experiments she's running. If not, can she really justify shutting it down?

After a magical mishap renders Rarity temporarily blind, Twilight Sparkle agrees to help her around the Boutique, utilizing a fancy spell that allows Rarity to see a simple outline of the world around them. It's just a gesture of good friendship; absolutely nothing more.

Written as my second entry in Monochromatic's Raritwi contest and set in her Bodyguard AU, which in turn is based on Earthsong9405's AU that I've never actually read.

In a jealous rage, Princess Luna rebelled against her sister, embracing the darkness in herself readily. The newly transformed Nightmare Moon and Princess Celestia fought above the Castle of the Everfree; after an arduous battle, Celestia lay bested by the sister she'd fought so hard to keep under control. With no other choice available, Princess Celestia wielded the Elements of Harmony.

Now, Nightmare Moon rules over a dark Equestria. She finally has the power of which she'd dreamed for so long.

With the second anniversary of the Return approaching along with the associated holiday, Celestia wants to know if there's anything Luna would like to do in marking the occasion. And all Luna wants -- is an eclipse.

Other than Celestia and Luna, nopony has seen an eclipse in more than a thousand years.

This could be a problem.

Faced with all options exhausted, and no other way to get rid of her writer's block, Twilight Sparkle settles in one night to do the one thing she promised herself she'd never, ever let happen.

Done as a little exercise (with some rather meagre results, mind you) to help me get through some writers block on another story. Everything here is exactly as it first came out; edits restricted to fixing typos and grammar. Any mistakes Twilight makes, however, are completely genuine and left in for ‘authenticity.’
