Prince Blueblood retires to his room after a long day, hoping for some much needed relaxation. As he walks in, he is happy to note someone waiting for him.

Fluttershy loves animals. Her special talent is taking care of them, after all. However, there is a darker side that her friends rarely see. Ever so often, a creature under her care suffers and not even she can fix it. She has grown accustomed to doing what needs to be done in those situations.

Perhaps a little too accustomed. When a tragedy hits close to home for her, she realizes that there are others out there suffering, and she can help them.

She is the Element of Kindness after all.

Becoming an immortal alicorn princess pony can be hard on a mare. On the one hand, Twilight now has near limitless power, but on the other, with great power comes great annoyance. All Princess Celestia wanted was to open a window. A simple window into another world, for no reason other than to prove their existence. She never wanted it to become a door. And she certainly never wanted anything to come through. But, as is proven so often, we don't always get what we want.

It's not all bad. What comes through is a perfectly ordinary pony. So ordinary that its very presence risks the destruction of magic itself.

Ordinary, after all, is highly relative.

There's an angel and a demon on your shoulders, contesting for the decisions you make.

This is well understood.

Barb has just turned eighteen and decides that she has waited long enough to finally tell Elusive how she feels about him; the only problem is she doesn’t know how to do it.

Wanting the moment to be perfect, she seeks help from Dusk Shine. The only pony, which she’s aware of, who knows about her crush and the two come up a plan to ensure the day goes off without a hitch, Barb will spend the day with Elusive before finally confessing to him at her party at the end of the day.

But sometimes… even the simplest of plans can have a few hitches.
