There are many changeling hives spread throughout a large portion of the world. Wherever love energy is going to be found the changelings will pursue it.

But now, one by one, they are disappearing.

Many hives located at the very outer edges of changeling inhabited lands are vanishing without a trace, Twilight Sparkle's family history has returned to haunt them all as something is hunting the changelings down. But how? And for what purpose? And more importantly, what does this mean for Queen Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the changeling race?

By some cosmic happenstance, a young woman is transported to Equestria, and finds herself in a precarious situation. She's taking it in stride so far. Maybe because finding herself in an alien world and in an alien body is not the worst thing that's ever happened to her.

Some wounds, especially those of the soul, can take a long time to mend. What healing arts can the ponies of Equestria offer a scarred young woman? What can she offer them in return?

Timeline-wise takes place starts off in the later parts of season 4 but before the season finale. It also mentions events from the EG-movies and the comics, but neither of which are required watching/reading in order to understand this story.

After a mysterious circumstance brings Twilight Sparkle into the real world she's discovered by a lonely closet Brony. He gives her a place to stay until she can find a way home. Twilight begins to discover she has feelings for this human. Feelings she's never felt before. Part of her doesn't want to leave his side but she knows deep down that it must happen and there's no way around it.

One day a man wakes up in a pony's bed. For the next several days the two of them try to discover why such a thing happened.

They don't do a very good job of figuring anything out but they do cuddle a lot.

Twilight is unexpectedly given time to think back on her past, and tries to decide what could've been done better by her.

But it's too late, she can't fix this now...

When a realization dawns on Twilight Sparkle, she immediately seeks to ask her old mentor a serious question... why doesn't she help?

It's been a while since her friend left, but Applejack never forgot. The bond of Friendship is mysterious, and magical. And if it is true: it can never be broken.
