Sunburst has an unusual reluctance to be seen without his cloak. Starlight wonders why this is. In between the rest of the events of his visit, she asks her friends why this might be. This investigation leads somewhere she did not expect.

Mithra is a cute, little filly that lives in Fillydelphia! Swift Shade is a bat pony colt who also happens to live in the same city! Little Mithra wants a scary slumber party, and her new friend seems like the perfect colt for that. Bat ponies are supposed to be scary, right? Right!

Except looks can be deceiving. Really, really deceiving.

Contains spoilers for Season 7, Episode 10: "A Royal Problem," as it takes place the evening after the events in that episode. The episode itself serves largely as a framing device, however.

Long ago, Luna turned into a twisted, evil version of herself, and Celestia remained to watch over Equestria. Yet Celestia has wondered whether she too could turn into a "Nightmare"... and she's speculated about what she would become.

She has kept these thoughts to herself, but when Celestia and her sister witness the former’s evil counterpart, "Daybreaker," in a nightmare, Luna notes that Celestia does not seem too surprised at her own "dark" side...

The next evening, Luna asks Celestia for her thoughts on Daybreaker - and asks what exactly would turn Celestia into such a monster...

Big Mac and Sugar Belle have been dating for a few month now. One morning, Big Mac seems more contemplative than usual, and Sugar Belle asks what's on his mind.

Hugging his special somepony close, Big Mac recounts the dream he had last night.

Alone and in tears in a desolate orchard, Apple Bloom is struggling to come to terms with the apparent rejection of her crush, yet is all as it seems, or is this all just a huge misunderstanding?

Fluttershy and Soarin have been through a lot together as a couple, and it would be an understatement to say they think about each other often. Unfortunately, he is always training and going around Equestria to preform, so they can only communicate through letters the majority of the time.

However, when Spitfire decides to let the Wonderbolts take off for a few days, Soarin knows exactly what he's going to do with his time off: see Fluttershy and show her how much he appreciates her.
