"Mhmmm..." Soarin brushed his muzzle against Rainbow's from his position beneath the polychromatic pegasus's outstretched body. "I love you, babe." The cloud they were lying on shifted beneath him as he wrapped his strong arms around her lithe figure.
"Ditto," she murmured sleepily into his neck, breathing in the tangy, electric scent of his dark mane. "But, um..." her stomach rumbled, and she huffed a sheepish chuckle. "I'm kinda lovin' the idea of some food a little more right now."
Soarin smirked. "You know, I'd take offense at that if I weren't so hungry myself."
"And that's why I love you," Rainbow grinned, raising her head to give him a kiss. "You wanna go bug AJ for some apple pie until she gets so annoyed she starts throwing them at us?"
"You read my mind." Soarin rolled over and got to his hooves, ruffling his wings. "Let's -"
"Race ya there!" Whooping with devilish glee, Rainbow zipped into the air and spiraled away, flying almost faster than the eye could see.
Soarin grinned and darted after her although he knew that she would beat him due to her self-granted head start. "Cheater."
