An idea I can't get out of my head, so I figure why not use it to get back into the swing of writing?

It's Toe Tapper and Torch Song's twentieth anniversary. Toe Tapper has been planning the surprise for a while, but he would like his son Down Beat to perform a song for it while he prepares everything else. Being an artist with some pride, he elects to write the song himself.

Beat is a little overwhelmed by the task.

Ballpoint Smudge has one job. It's not an easy one, but it's one he's determined to do to the best of his ability. The only problem is that as soon as he meets Twilight Sparkle, everything he's ever learned about princesses goes flying out of the window. He was expecting her to be regal, haughty and bossy. Instead she's warm, friendly and welcoming. Perhaps she's genuinely a nice pony? Nah. It's got to be a test.

Based on an idea by Ambrose Bierce, from his excellent Devil's Dictionary. Just look up 'Insurance'.

Luke Skywalker crash lands on Equestria. Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and their friends help him repair his droid and his ship, but in the process he develops friendships with them. Will he return to the fight against the last remnants of the Empire, or will his new friendships, and his feelings towards the Princess of Friendship be enough to make him stay?

Vanilla Mocha always hosts a Nightmare Night party, every single year. But every year, at least half her guests end up leaving because it's not as thrilling, spooky, or Nightmare-Night-ish as they hoped. This year, Mocha is determined to turn a few things around. So when she tells everypony that she is making her cafe extra scary, something unexpected happens, and it turns out to not be planned for the party at all...

Nopony knows that Pinkie Pie's pet keeps a diary until now. He dates Trixie. He plays the Xbox. He eats rainbow cupcakes. Gummy, her toothless pet alligator, has an amazing life.

Are puppies an easy source of love? The smart money says otherwise. But Queen Chrysalis isn't nearly as smart as she thinks she is. But she will soon learn a lot. Maybe.

It all started with a friendly debate. Twilight thinks that Ponyville could not survive for thirty days without adults, Discord thinks that it could. Discord decides to settle the answer once and for all by putting every school aged colt and filly in Ponyville (plus Spike) into an exact replica of their town without any adults at all.

Only, Discord has to be able to prove to Twilight who won their debate. In order to keep Ponyville adult-free, he pulls filly Twilight from the past, who has nothing more than filly memories. And, while he's at it, he may as well bring in the rest of the filly mane six. Can the town survive for thirty whole days? And will the mane six be able to overcome the social barriers between themselves and the rest of the colts and fillies?

This story is a sequel to Stallions of Harmony - Longest Night

"What happened back there?"

That was what he said the day of the Summer Sun Celebration inspection, but a pony can't help wondering. Shining Armor has followed that particular order to the best of his ability since then, but some other ponies aren't so inclined to let the past lie.

Rainbow wants to penetrate things and Twilight teaches her how. A few problems become immediately apparent.
