[Sequel to The River Rose] Summoned by a mysterious organization known as the Order of the White Bird, Emerald Alembic and his friends travel north to meet their leader. They learn of a plot, concocted by a former member, to destroy the Order and use the Elements of Harmony to cast the world into chaos, and thus prevent the advent of the prophesied Master of Harmony. [Rated teen only for light cursing and violence.]

The first few towns the Mare comes to might think her to be a curious, quiet sort. That's alright though: the Sisters have only just defeated Discord, and enough ponies bear scars caused by the tyrant for everypony to know when a mare just wants to keep to herself.

The defeat of the King of Chaos isn't the end, however. Great beasts now roam Equestria, preying on its inhabitants. On her quest, to Sisters-know-where, the Mare will defeat the monsters, and finally bring peace to the nation.

This story is a sequel to Ghosts of Whitetail Wood

This story begins a few weeks before the events of Ghosts of Whitetail Wood and continues forward past the ending of that story. Celestia is confronted with the fact that her faithful student has managed to break the fundamental laws of the universe. If left uncorrected, there's a good chance that the universe itself may unravel. The obvious answer is to kill Twilight Sparkle and all of creation is conspiring to eliminate her as a threat. Celestia has other ideas.

Rarity always believed that she knew exactly who she was, what she wanted, and exactly how she would obtain it. Then she fell for somepony wholly unexpected: Applejack. When unhappy tidings call Rarity to the frozen North to spend the Hearth's Warming holiday with her relatives, Applejack accompanies her into the family fray.

The ponies arrive in Whinnyapolis at a time of endings, and find that relationships can be fragile things, vulnerable to the cold. Rarity will search her past for the key to her future, but the old house at Maple Cove may not hold all the answers she needs. Perhaps, though, two ponies will learn that there really is no place like home for the holidays.
