We all have to accept the consequences of our actions. Sunset Shimmer learns this when she decides to return to Equestria with Twilight Sparkle and face Princess Celestia's judgement. Knowing full well that she did something wrong, she expects to be punished. However, sometimes our punishments are not what we expect.

The Rainboom happens as it should, and a few certain fillies earn their cutie marks because of it. Except little Pinkamena Diane Pie, who went inside before she could witness it. Thus, she never left the rock farm.

That meant she wasn't in Ponyville to throw that party that inspired a runaway colt named Cheese Sandwich.

However, the two end up meeting in adulthood, and the broke wanderer Cheese takes a job at the rock farm, and works alongside the grumpy Pinkamena and her family.

My take on an AU, created upon realizing that Cheese Sandwich was indirectly affected by the Sonic Rainboom. And in case you're wondering, the whole eternal night thing goes the same way as the show (except a different mare--whoever you imagine--wields the Element of Laughter).

Daring Do may have bitten off more than she can chew with her latest expedition partner. She seems determined to one-up Daring by using her knowledge of rocks, ignore her every instruction and not to speak a word more than necessary.

However, Daring may discover that there's far more to Maud Pie's single track mind than meets the eye... and that there's no such thing as 'just a rock farmer'.

Except when they are down on their luck and desperately need some bits. And when her boasting catches up with her and she loses all, Trixie is certainly desperate to earn enough bits to get her back on the road, desperate enough to challenge a rock farmer and partner with an expressionless rock expert in order to bring in the bits.

Trixie is the Great and Powerful, after all. Anything other ponies can do, she can do better... can't she?

Snails is not the most remarkable of ponies, but he's not much of a troublemaker. He's not overly rude, he's not a loudmouth, he's not a bad student...

Well, he wasn't a bad student. But everypony slips up now and again, it doesn't mean anything. Snails just needs to work harder and study more. A little less time reading comic books, a little more time doing serious schoolwork, and everything'll be fine. He might even just quit reading comic books altogether. It's not like it does anything useful for him.

After all, why do something you know is just a waste of time?
