With his dark past heavy on his mind, Sombra is put to the test as he begins a reformation process. Though his thoughts are clearer and no longer crowded with the influence of dark magic, his heart is none the lighter. Will Pinkie's motto of "Giggle at the Ghosties" be enough to turn a tyrant good? Or Will Sombra succumb to the power of dark magic once more? But more importantly, will the reason for his tyrannical rule finally come to light?

Inspired by a series of one shots and the very popular "Feeling Pinkie Mean", though with a more serious undertone.

King Sombra comes back to the New Crystal Empire after a long battle. Fluttershy waits for him to welcome back her king after a long day of peace talks with the neighboring factions.

Sombra appears in the common society of Canterlot. Needless to say, not very many people know who he is, and not very many guards do, either. In a sense, he's hiding in plain sight. Still the stallion who tried to take over a kingdom and cause nothing but purest suffering for the residents.

And he runs into Fluttershy...

After the events of the Battle of the Bands, Adagio and Sonata have gotten over their loss of power and are building lives for themselves. Aria however, hasn't accepted the failure. When she is cast out by the other Sirens, she finds herself living with Fluttershy.

A fic exchange thing with MythrilMoth

On one of their monthly picnics, now including a certain draconequus, Fluttershy invites her friend Octavia Melody. The girls, and Discord, are actually quite surprised to find out that she's friends with one of the most elegant ponies around.

When asked about how their friendship began, they all find out that Fluttershy is a natural when it comes to one of the most elegant instruments around: the violin.
