Everyone dreams of a happy life. And in a world of multicoloured ponies, magic, and manufactured rainbows, it seems possible that everyone can have that. But for some, unfortunate circumstances can stop that pursuit dead in it’s tracks, no matter how hard they try to push on.
Caramel is a pony who finds himself in that situation, even if he doesn’t want to admit it. But when something is standing between you and the life you need, it can’t be buried forever. No matter how hard you try. And Celestia does Caramel try.
Note: This story has sad elements and conflicts in it
Thanks to Lord-Commander for Editing this story.
Mac and Dash end up having drinks with a couple they meet in Manehattan. The couple makes some assumptions they shouldn't have about Dash, and she gets her feathers ruffled.
Applejack has gone through a lot in her life. She's lost family, been a primary caregiver, even had a few massive shifts in her identity... And she's still standing. She's still here.
But is that enough?
Princess Twilight Sparkle invents a new way to travel between universes. On the maiden voyage with her best friends, something goes wrong.
Her discovery resurrects a secret from her past, one she has only shared with Princess Celestia. When Twilight learns of the price required to return things to normal, she is left with an impossible choice.
Written for The Writeoff Association's "Closing Time" contest. Preread by Axis of Rotation.
NOTE: I'm aware of Trotsworth's pony names. I chose not to use them.
Alert: As of 16 August 2018 I've begun some drastic editing to knock this story down from Mature rating to Teen; there has been a lot of cleaning up to do in both content and formatting. I believe it's finished, but I might need someone to let me know if it's still too M for the T. Let me know if you think I missed something. Thanks for your patience!

The post-graduate campus of Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns is a place of knowledge obscure and powerful, perhaps powerful enough for Alpha to live his dream for just one night... but how far would he be willing to go when his friend's safety and dignity are on the line?
[ This was my entry into the Mature bracket of the Transformations group's Body Swap Contest. How the Other Half Lives managed to place second! Congratulations to the winner, Twinkletail. ]
[ What's more, this story has been accepted into Twilight's Library, which I hear is quite a feat for a story with these tags. As if I wasn't proud of it before! ]

[ Vanilla Breeze acted as prereader for this one; without her help this story would make even less sense than it does, haha. Than you so much, hon! I couldn't have done it without you. ]
[ Placeholder art is by Death-of-all. I'm still looking for something a little more suitable. ]
High Style, Photo Finish's aide and famous stylist, was trying to have a normal day, but few things are normal when Cloud Kicker arrives.
This story is written as part of the Winningverse (which is why I don't go in depth into exploring Cloud Kicker's character). If you don't know why Cloud Kicker is the way she is, then go read the Life and Times of a Winning Pony. It is by far a better story than this one.
However, I'd appreciate it if you came back once you were done.
After finding his mothers favorite dress in the attic, Big Mac muses on his thoughts involving the dress and thoughts he has been trying to seal away for years.

Oldest story. Don't expect much. Just sayin.
Reposted with stuff that wasn't here the first time (It must have been a bad copy past job on my part, it helps the story tremendously!)
Scootaloo was always ready to tell to everyone who asked her, what she was, a girl! Duh! But then there are night time thoughts, which gently make her question who she really is.
There is no clear answer in the story, and I don't intend it to be. I planned this around, so it would end right at this point.
I have my own idea of what she is, but let's go by a "Death of the Author" view on this, okay? (Which means that the author's views have no more significance than any of the reader's ones)
I hope you enjoy it, and if you do want to tell us what you think, then just comment!
[ 17/8/14 Edited, plenty of small details, I had in my mind while writing, but which didn't make the story in the first place (now there), more to life Scootaloo (changed her personality a tad, in the story), several errors corrected.
Vinyl Scratch is well known as DJ PON-3 across Equestria. Other than their music career, however, not much is known of the pony’s personal life as they struggle with their relationship, identity, past, music and coping with the effects of their actions on others.
