He can't tell if this place is real or is just his mind's conjuration of a world where he can escape his own. Cortana told him he was home. Twilight writes an extra special letter to the princess after binge drinking for hours on end. The letter isn't about a lesson of the true meaning of friendship as the princess had come to expect. When Cortana awakens Master Chief from his slumber, she warns that the Dawn is falling to the surface of an unknown planet. Chief must find a way to get to the ground safely and survive in this new, oddly colored place.

Traveling between parallel universes is impossible, especially during the process of regeneration, but the Tenth Doctor doesn't have time to question the facts. He's just been thrust through a tear in the fabric of reality, gotten a new body, and landed on a planet called Equestria. Specifically, he's landed in the worst possible place in all Equestria – somewhere that's ready to unleash a “big ol' storm of chaos”.

That's just the beginning of the Doctor's strange new lease on life: there's a whole host of mysteries to explore. Above all, the Doctor needs to discover if this new universe can heal the wounds he suffered in the last. Only one thing is certain: there's an awful lot of running left to do.

And at last, just when he thought he had the pestilent human, the gods suddenly turned their wrath upon him for his failures, and he failed against the little human, and perished on the shield world containing the forerunner fleet... or so he thought.

The gods he followed may have forsaken him on that day, but another, more fun power gave him another chance, to begin again, in a new world of its choice. However, that power failed to specify the Arbiter's new purpose, and dumped the belligerent sangheilli into a world that tests his very patience every moment of every day. Will he finally discover the source of true peace here, in this colorful, pony-filled world, or will he burn the fetid, cutesy, scum-sucking, human-loving planet to its bedrock!?
