Chapter 1. Orbs of amethyst

By. Deanbrony

The future may be daunting. Your life may be a mere shell of what it was or what you want it to be. You feel the stress and frustration eating you inside out. This is when one can touch your very soul. But not through touch but through your very eyes...

“AHHHHHH tell me, please tell me... why on Earth do we have to do this!!!” I said in an obviously annoyed and admittedly childish manner while looking at my English-teacher with an as bored/annoyed look I could muster. “To learn about one-another Mike. I mean, at least try to be a little social on your first day.” He said with a sigh and raised brow.
Why does he already remember my name after seeing me one time, with all the others he had to glance down at his list with matching pictures every other second.

“No it's not the social interaction that annoys me. It's the part about me talking about me-self.” I sat with the weird feeling of everyone watching me. I sank down in my chair with a small frown on my face.”Ohh come on. What is so daunting about that.” Said the boy directly to my right with comforting tone. A tall but timid looking fellah with a weird little smile, starting at the centre of his lips, making a little upward-going arch to the middle of his left cheek.
“Well. I guess you'll know when I become the laughingstock of the entire school won't you”. I said with the utmost sincerity in my voice, making everyone let out a little giggle.
“Well well Mike, it sounds like a real show-stopper you got there. Perhaps you should go last then.” The teacher said, with the tiniest hint of a smirk on his lips. Man that a-hole doesn't like me.

After two hours of making a Power Point presentation and getting all I wanted to say in order, I could just sit back and wait for the others to do the same. Which didn't take more than ten minutes. We all had fifteen minutes to tell a little bit about ourselves, our jobs and interests.
After listening to one LMFAO fan after another with less and less concentration, it was time to tell about me-self. I sluggishly went up to the desk and put the flash drive with my power point presentation into the slot in the computer, then turned it on, and started to talk.

“Hey my name is Mike T. Colt. I am your typical run of the mill teenager. I like booze. I like girls. But now for the more special things.
In the music-apartment I like The Offspring, AC/DC, Movits, Beatles, Elvis, 2Chellos you know all that good stuff that no one gives two shits about.” Everyone had apparently about as much concentration as I had about these presentations, but at the mentioning of 2Chellos a girl on the third row opened her eyes and began paying attention. I thought it a bit strange but didn't pay further attention, continuing the presentation.

” As for movies and the like I have some... special perks that are to be considered since I have been a movie reviewer for some time on an internet site. This makes my view very “refined” since I look at everything I've seen with the eyes of a reviewer. I like, Tremors, 10 things I hate about you, the original trilogy of Star wars and The Iron giant just to name a few.” At this point I started a drum-roll I had made a link to from youtube, then I stated with as much flair as I could( If I’m gonna go down, might as well do it with some style). “Now for what you have all been waitin' for. The one thing that will make me a laughingstock, the thing that will keep me chaste, the thing that will scare you all, the one thing I can call my true passion, the”
"Get it over with you oaf!!!" Said a girl on the front row.
“Okay. My true passion is... My little pony: Friendship is magic.” And the second I was done saying those few words the entire classroom cracked up, even the BUCKING TEACHER laughed.

Everyone laughed, except the girl on the third row. It was at this time I really looked at her. She was an absolutely gorgeous girl with long hair, as black as the darkest onyx, her skin oddly enough a little pail greyish. She had a little pointy nose, a really pretty pink bow tie and flat chest(I have a thing for girls with small chests). But it all paled compared to her eyes. They were big, round and had a very intense dark purple colour, I had never seen anything like them. I saw into these orbs stopping any other thought, all that emotion and all that passion I saw in those eyes. We just looked into each others eyes, each others very souls, seeing every emotion and thought that passed through the others mind. It was magic. All I thought wrong in the world was suddenly not there, my angry and disappointed parents, simply not there, my badly paid job and no friends, simply not there. We looked at each other for what seemed like an eternity (an eternity in heaven I might ad) before the teacher spoke.

“Could you please get down to your seat”. I could hear the annoyance in his voice. I answered still gazing into those amazing eyes. ”O. o. okay.... I... I’ll go back now”. I began walking still focusing all attention on those beautiful eyes. “Hmmm maybe I should ask her ou”... Suddenly I felt my feet slipping and fell backwards, feeling intense pain from my left temple, then it all went black.

Writers note. Sorry if the format or layout is annoying, I'm still getting used to the writing tools on the site, and they aren't really what I'm used to.
