In the wake of Chrysalis' failed invasion, a different hive breaks tradition and steps into the light to open relations with Equestria. The ever eager scholar, Twilight Sparkle, uses this truce as the perfect opportunity to learn more about this enigmatic race. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, she will learn all there is to know about what it means to be a changeling.

But will Twilight lose herself in the hive, or will she regain what she has lost? Only time will tell.

Unwilling to sit idle, she has chosen a dangerous path: return to the Imperium, take up the mantle of Emperor of Mankind, defeat the coming storm, and save Mankind once and for all.

With Twilight Sparkle to aid her, Celestia faces new challenges and new enemies. Her forces are scattered, her people assaulted, and the enemies of Man grow stronger with each passing day.

The Time of Heroes is gone. Now comes the Time of Ending.

These 'ponies' as they call themselves, are my new people. I should've seen the malfunction coming. I mean, we had smashed the device we took it from. Now, I'm stuck here in this land with no home, no family, no anything really. I mean, living on the streets is pretty bad too. They're trying to stuff these odd words down my throat. Oh, not to mention, I'm a child. This place is disturbingly odd.
Especially since these ponies haven't seen war, even in my home, it was an occurrence. These ponies are shocked about being attacked for food of all things. Come on, my friend here has it bad enough. Maybe he's just misunderstood. At least he gets a feeling about what I'm saying...

Living in Sunny Dale is fine, when you have your family with you. I have my sister living next room in our cottage. The only difference between the rooms is that hers is mirroring mine.

I have a Hero doll of Pinkie Pie, while she has one of Twilight Sparkle. I have mine living on my nightstand, and I treat her like a household deity, with all that goes with it.

If it is a common and regular life, but that is merely where it all begun. The shock only hit home as I saw my reflection in the mirror one morning. Being a filly, not what a boy is looking forwards to, or dreams of, now is it?

Seeing the real Pinkie Pie in the flesh, I guess I could contain my shock? She is just as exuberant and energetic as they had said, if not more.

Starlight Glimmer is TRYING to be a good friend, but she just has this awful tendency to overreact at just about anything.

Like trying to rule over an entire village of brainwashed ponies because a friend moved away.

The first time it happened, Sunset didn’t pay it any mind due to the circumstances. The second time it happened, she noticed it and brushed it off as the action of a concerned friend. The third time it happened, she finally figured out that Rarity was flirting with her.
